 You could not watch it any time during the day. It had to be at night in pretty much complete darkness to get a good quality picture. Second thing the contrast ratio. It's 35,000 to 1

 Second thing the contrast ratio. It's 35,000 to 1. Now what that means is you get real dark blacks. My Sony I believe was around 5,000 to 1 contrast ratio and it's a huge noticeable difference

 This was an expensive higher-end projector back then about you know eight ten years ago when I bought it. This thing is so much brighter and that's nice because for one you don't need a screen. You don't really need to even paint your wall. It's bright enough that if it's on a light colored wall the picture looks great

 They're actually better quality than the older projectors They're brighter. They have a much smoother picture much better contrast ratio It's unbelievable. I was really blown away that you could get a projector now for you know like I said under $7,800 That's better than a projector five years ago that cost four thousand very very stunning I use mine at about a hundred and twenty inches, and it's plenty plenty bright brighter than my old Sony The bulbs on these things are great This one I think is a 2500 lumen bulb, but the it just looks great It's like having a movie theater at home, but it's really nice The picture quality on the 2100 is absolutely stunning the color representation is super accurate Like I said plenty bright I mean you wouldn't want to watch it in the middle of the day with all the windows open It's going to be washed out like any projector would you need a TV for that but for a home theater room Even if you're using this thing for like office presentations or something like that It's plenty bright for a medium lit room The motion on this is really really good and all in all I really really like it, and I really recommend it Now if you have any more questions about it or anything like that just leave in the comments below I'll be happy to answer them for you one thing I should mention too is make sure if you're going to use this thing to Display it on a white wall or very close to white or even better Get yourself a screen or some decent screen paint It'll really make a big difference the reflective screen paint makes an absolute big difference Although I will say I shine this just on a plain white wall, and it was stunningly good It looked almost like there was a plasma on the wall Or an LCD right on the wall, so really like it anyway. Epson Home Cinema 2100 Review 2020- What An Amazing Value!

 At the first football game I adjusted the color and tint for good skin tones and that was about all I had to do. I never thought that I would get into 3D, but I couldn't resist when I found that it was compatible with generic (active) 3D glasses. The kids LOVE watching Polar Express and others with their glasses on. I wish that this projector could do 2D-to-3D conversion, but that's still found Normally the projector is very quiet, but if it's doing hard work (like for 3D) the fan gets much louder

This is a fantastic projector! After about 10 years with a 720p Optoma HD65 it was time for an upgrade. This projector is SO much brighter. When we moved the old projector had a tough time showing dark scenes during the day in my living room with the blinds shut. That is not a problem with the Epson HC2100

Best bang for the $$

 I had to lay this Epson on its back, because its cockeyed lens can only project upward when sitting upright. This means I have to run it in ceiling mode, which runs the fan faster/louder. It's also a bit too bright for me: I watch movies at night and it can light up the room, which is somewhat distracting. Eco mode helps a bit, but I think it's somewhat noisier than my old projector

 They are 1080p resolution, has a dynamic iris. One of the big improvements, by the way, is from the previous series, which was around for a couple of years and change, is that new lens. Big improvement over the old 1.2 to 1 zoom

 Speaking of brightness, it blew away its claim, but even in the best modes, it's still hovering around that 2,500 lumen range at full power.  However, the Epson 2250 is rather special in 3 ways:  1) is has a useful throw ratio with lots of zoom and vertical lens shift. I find that the BenQ projectors always want to get onto the couch with you. This one instead wants to sit behind your head. It’s not as convenient as a short throw if you plan to move it daily

 3) looks. While it is compact, it is not as sleek as the “E” series like the EF11 for example.  In sum: a great 1080p projector that is actually smart enough to work on its own without external sticks and boxes, connects to WiFi and Bluetooth and that is small enough not to offend in your living room.

 But I think that even apologists for Google will find it hard to applaud the particular stick that comes with this projector. The App Store selection is poor. Most apps regularly malfunction. And the stick (assuming it's the stick's fault) cannot even handle a bluetooth connection properly

 Both options result in consistent, considerable lag, regardless of the app being used, regardless of the speaker being used for output. Unusable bluetooth means that either you are happy to live with the built-in speaker (if you can hear it behind the fan, which is loud), or you have to connect an external audio jack to your speakers, or you have to use an external Roku/Fire stick or Apple TV. The problem is that all those options defeat the point of having a smart projector. You have to remove the (rather pretty) back cover and you're left with cables/sticks poking out -- which is not great if you want to have the projector itself be permanently installed somewhere where it is visibile

Updated: Good compact projector with UN-usable smarts

 (I say lower budget because this thing is still incredible expensive, but it is so worth it if you can't afford one of those $6000 cinema projectors). Get your own sound system, the built-in speakers are okay and unusable at low volume. The features are kickass but as with all technology, there are some flaws, like Wifi connectivity issues, occasional latency issues, slow start-up, and the Hulu app being unusable, but it more for makes up for it with the amount of features it has and the quality of the picture. The zoom feature is the best thing ever

I have to try again and again for 10 minutes, sometimes it connects, other times I have to turn it off, wait for it turn back on, then deal with it not connecting another 1-3 times.  It just won't connect to my Wifi. I have a Velop mesh network, any and every other product I've had has never had connection issues. This projector is incredible

I spent so many hours trying to find a Bluetooth speaker that works with this. Like what the heck is SCMS-T anyways and why won’t this speaker work with Bose soundboard or UE Boom speakers? So frustrating! And the support is horrible. They won’t even give you a list of compatible speakers.

 This is going to sit behind my chairs and I know if you walk in front of it my ceiling's so low. So whether I get a shelf right here or the ceiling, it really doesn't matter in this room because I can touch the ceiling. So this I think might work and what I'm going to do, I'm going to. I'm going to leave my Tv here and then I'll just pull it down and Boom 120 is what I is, what it's going to do and it's going to be very big picture hopefully

The only reason for this review is to stress the gigantic design flaw here. There's no digital audio output and there's no audio return channel (ARC) on the HDMI port. If you want to use this projector for your home cinema you must connect an audio video source to your receiver. Making the fantastic integrated Android TV completely useless, unless you want to hear your movies from the crappy integrated speaker

 Ok, I just stayed close to the projector, and I lived with it. After a year, the speaker just broke down, no sound coming out of it at all. Can anyone let me know how do I find the support if there is.
