Epson EpiqVision Ultra LS500 vs Samsung Premiere LSP7T

The LS500's rated brightness is 4,000 lumens, which when paired with a 0.6 gain screen gives you the same the image brightness as a 2,400-lumen projector would using a 1.0 gain screen. But when you combine the improved contrast from the gray color with ALR technology (which keeps overhead lights or skylights from washing out the image), you wind up with a much better-looking picture than you'd get from a white screen and higher brightness

.the overall brightness uniformity was better on the Samsung and actually appeared noticeably brighter than the Optoma. I hope that the next unit is not plagued with this system issue and is hopefully just an anomaly and not a larger issue of quality control

I've tried 1080p projectors and they're not enough. I'm spoiled by 4K. This, the Epson LS500, is what it's all about. Although initial set up was a bit difficult, once I was good to go, I've enjoyed using this projector greatly

Update Nov 16, 2020: Samsung finally reached out to me and a member of their engineering team who works on these projectors called. Clearly knowledgeable. We are working on the focus issue and how to resolve, if possible. Seen some improvement but still not "perfect"
