 What's up guys Anubhav here and projectors are quickly turning from something that are used in offices and conferences to entertainment systems and with an increase in number of users who use it for entertainment takes an increase on the resolution and the quality of things that are offered in the market. On that note this is the Epson Home Theater 4K Pro UHD 3 LCD Projector and something like this is very top of the line in the projector game from the people at Epson and now comes the question whether something like this is worth it or not. Is Epson's 4K Projector WORTH IT?

35 aspect ratios with one touch of the button on your remote control. With a measured light output close to 2000 lumens in high lamp mode, the Epson TW 9400 or 6050UB shrew one of the brightest pictures we have seen from a lamp-based projector, which may be useful if you are looking to light up a very big screen, say 150 inches or larger, although of course you would have to put up with louder fan noise too. Black level wasn't as deep as the Sony's, let alone the JBC's, but it's noticeably better with punchier contrast than all DLP projectors including the BenQs. There's dynamic iris on board, and you can manually clamp down the iris using the lens iris control to cut the light output and achieve deeper blacks

 The TW9400 is equipped with motion compensated frame interpolation technology, but it cannot be deployed if 4K enhancement is engaged, so you'll need to disable pixel shifting first. On this horizontally scrolling test pattern, setting frame interpolation to low didn't increase motion resolution from the seminal hole baseline of 300 lines. We had to go up to medium or high to double motion resolution to 600 lines. Even on the least aggressive low setting, Epson's frame interpolation was prone to introducing SOE, plus flickering and stuttering artifacts in 24fps movies, as well as interpolation artifacts in 50Hz or 60Hz content, so we prefer to switch frame interpolation off, which thankfully still reproduced 24fps films smoothly without telecyclic judder

 It is a lamp-based projector which achieves 4K resolution using pixel shifting technology from its 1080p 3LCD chips. The design is typical Epson, with rounded corners and a centrally mounted lens.  They have got a lens shift vertical lens shift of 96 percent which means that even at a height of 10 feet wherein your screen would probably start even if you place this particular projector in a straight format over there you can still take down the screen by almost 96 percent. So that's the vertical lens shift horizontal lens shift is close to 47 percent which means that it can be offset up to 47 you know percentage from the center of your screen. So that's another good you know win over here compared to all the other projectors. The only drawback that I feel with this projector is that it does not have quick corners

Epson could make two more minor improvements to this amazing device: backlit remote buttons and a quieter fan. The fan emits a low hum, which is pretty easy to ignore but is still rather loud when you're trying to hear the dialogue in a quiet movie scene. Still, overall, this top-notch device is a great option for someone looking for a versatile, high-end projector.

 However, the Epson 2250 is rather special in 3 ways:  1) is has a useful throw ratio with lots of zoom and vertical lens shift. I find that the BenQ projectors always want to get onto the couch with you. This one instead wants to sit behind your head. It’s not as convenient as a short throw if you plan to move it daily

 3) looks. While it is compact, it is not as sleek as the “E” series like the EF11 for example.  In sum: a great 1080p projector that is actually smart enough to work on its own without external sticks and boxes, connects to WiFi and Bluetooth and that is small enough not to offend in your living room.

 But I think that even apologists for Google will find it hard to applaud the particular stick that comes with this projector. The App Store selection is poor. Most apps regularly malfunction. And the stick (assuming it's the stick's fault) cannot even handle a bluetooth connection properly

 Both options result in consistent, considerable lag, regardless of the app being used, regardless of the speaker being used for output. Unusable bluetooth means that either you are happy to live with the built-in speaker (if you can hear it behind the fan, which is loud), or you have to connect an external audio jack to your speakers, or you have to use an external Roku/Fire stick or Apple TV. The problem is that all those options defeat the point of having a smart projector. You have to remove the (rather pretty) back cover and you're left with cables/sticks poking out -- which is not great if you want to have the projector itself be permanently installed somewhere where it is visibile

 (I say lower budget because this thing is still incredible expensive, but it is so worth it if you can't afford one of those $6000 cinema projectors). Get your own sound system, the built-in speakers are okay and unusable at low volume. The features are kickass but as with all technology, there are some flaws, like Wifi connectivity issues, occasional latency issues, slow start-up, and the Hulu app being unusable, but it more for makes up for it with the amount of features it has and the quality of the picture. The zoom feature is the best thing ever

I have to try again and again for 10 minutes, sometimes it connects, other times I have to turn it off, wait for it turn back on, then deal with it not connecting another 1-3 times. This projector is incredible

I spent so many hours trying to find a Bluetooth speaker that works with this. Like what the heck is SCMS-T anyways and why won’t this speaker work with Bose soundboard or UE Boom speakers? So frustrating! And the support is horrible. They won’t even give you a list of compatible speakers.

 I want to get it done before the end of the year and I'm going to take this. I'm going to take this chain here and I'm going to put it in the corner, over here, up on the wall, up on the ceiling like this. and then I'm having to have a chain. It's going to be like this on each side and it's going to hold the projector right there

 This is going to sit behind my chairs and I know if you walk in front of it my ceiling's so low. So whether I get a shelf right here or the ceiling, it really doesn't matter in this room because I can touch the ceiling. So this I think might work and what I'm going to do, I'm going to. I'm going to leave my Tv here and then I'll just pull it down and Boom 120 is what I is, what it's going to do and it's going to be very big picture hopefully

The only reason for this review is to stress the gigantic design flaw here. There's no digital audio output and there's no audio return channel (ARC) on the HDMI port. If you want to use this projector for your home cinema you must connect an audio video source to your receiver. Making the fantastic integrated Android TV completely useless, unless you want to hear your movies from the crappy integrated speaker

Not an Android TV home theater solution

 Ok, I just stayed close to the projector, and I lived with it. After a year, the speaker just broke down, no sound coming out of it at all. Can anyone let me know how do I find the support if there is.
