 The tuners feel loose, and the metal parts on the bridge and tail feel very rough, as though they weren't quite finished. The pickups sound the same as any of the other guitars I've tried in this class, but unlike most 335 copies, there is only one volume and one tone control. Because of this, you don't really have the same amount of control over the tone that you would with most other 335 copies. On the plus side, I didn't hear too much of the notorious hollow body feedback while I was playing the Dot, and I was sitting right in front of a 100W fender combo amp

 after running a Les Paul in the Firebird 7, which is like the Cool guitar, We have the problems that any lower end instrument tends to have, but this mostly involves giving it a good setup. I do think the Epiphones are a great choice if you're relatively new to guitar and want something that's a step up from the most basic starter guitars that are out there. and you maybe don't want to spend a ridiculous amount for an instrument that you know meets the basic requirements for a usable guitar.  like Seymour Duncan has hundreds I don't know. So of course they also had different and it's totally up to you. And pickups are really they. They're a big part of your tone for electric guitar, but also the kind of a small part of your tongue

Do the semi-hollow design like the 335, but since then, plenty of other builders and manufacturers have gotten into the game producing their own semi-hollow body designs. This is my Novo Miris and on paper, it's pretty similar to a 335

 That was the very first time I ever performed in public with this guitar. This is my 2010 Memphis Made Gibson ES335. This guitar has been through thick and thin with me. This is the one alongside my pink sparkle novo that if the house was on fire and everyone was safe, this is the one that I would run in and grab

Now the C shaped neck is just really good because I don't have you know, John Mayer hands or Hendrix hands or whatever and I've always gotten comfort out of that C shaped neck

Block inlays just like BB King All the specs are what I like in a Es-335 and we'll go through and play it all. So big!  so I decided the block inlays and especially because BB Kings Lucille had block inlays now I Love the classic Legends BB King Jimmy Page Eric Clapton Played a 335 and creamed The pickups in. Here are the Memphis historic specs which are as closely based on the classic PAF's as they've gotten so far, thus getting those tones from Clapton BB King Jimmy Page the classic Gibson players. So I did put a lot of thought into it I've got a little bit of back to the future. We got a little bit of BB King and then with the Memphis historic Specht pickups, we got that classic Jimmy Page sound that you would get right from something like Led Zeppelin or Eric Clapton and cream

 the Back to the Future you know is one of the movies that made them want to play guitar so I thought it'd be fun to kind of connect to that vibe a little bit. Now the C shaped neck is just really good because I don't have you know, John Mayer hands or Hendrix hands or whatever and I've always gotten comfort out of that C shaped neck. I've always just preferred a Es-335 to a Les Paul it's a little bit lighter I Like being having the choice of getting a little jazzier and bluesier but still having that kind of oomph and power of a Les Paul Another thing I decided on that I wanted were the block inlays. Planning to get some axes that I'd use for recording. I already have a great amp, recording setup, and everything else needed for an electric. Hypothetically, if I want as much versatility across multiple genres as possible with two guitars, or one guitar, which ones would I get for $500? 

Sky's the limit, I'm not really picky, though I'd prefer to do as little major upgrading like pickup changes as possible (setting up is fine, as are minor upgrades like sanding fret edges)

 Yeah, a little. uh. Victory Dp-40 Uh, obviously. I think the neon yellow cable probably was the yeah, that's the made the difference

 But well, today we are looking at well, probably the guitar that I think you know all the really good session players and guitar players of all time I think would generally say that the 335 is the ultimate most versatile guitar. They would like to do that, whether that's true or not. Of course is a matter of personal opinion. But when you talk to people like you know, uh, Larry Carlton and Robin Ford and Marty Mcfly Martin

 Uh, so everything now is made in Nashville, apart from acoustic guitars which is still made up in Bozeman, Montana because the climate's better for making acoustic guitars apparently. Yeah, Um, so the uh, the easy way to understand that when you're looking at a 335 or any of the Es series from Gibson. If it's got a year in the model number, then it's custom shop and it's built super high end, historically correct level. And if it hasn't got a year in the name, like an Es355 standard or something that'll be made alongside things like the Les Paul standard in the like, the normal Nashville Uh facility
