 The tuners feel loose, and the metal parts on the bridge and tail feel very rough, as though they weren't quite finished. The pickups sound the same as any of the other guitars I've tried in this class, but unlike most 335 copies, there is only one volume and one tone control. Because of this, you don't really have the same amount of control over the tone that you would with most other 335 copies. On the plus side, I didn't hear too much of the notorious hollow body feedback while I was playing the Dot, and I was sitting right in front of a 100W fender combo amp

 after running a Les Paul in the Firebird 7, which is like the Cool guitar, We have the problems that any lower end instrument tends to have, but this mostly involves giving it a good setup. I do think the Epiphones are a great choice if you're relatively new to guitar and want something that's a step up from the most basic starter guitars that are out there. and you maybe don't want to spend a ridiculous amount for an instrument that you know meets the basic requirements for a usable guitar.  I am looking for cheap stratocaster sss type electric guitar for learning. But i also want to practice Metal and Rock songs with that guitar. For that I want a distortion effect.
 I've found several guitars and sets for a decent price. But the amplifiers in all of them are cheap and they don't have gain knobs, they only have an Overdrive button. Plus I don't have enough money for expensive and decent amfis that have gain knobs and other fancy stuff. I can't afford a pedal either.
So my question is, can I play Metal and Rock songs (like Metallica - Enter Sandman) with fine enough distortion with only knock-off sss Stratocaster and an overdrive button?

Hey guys! I’m looking to buy a new guitar around 500 bucks, and I know enough like to not but a piece of crap, but the whole thing of “do not but les pauls built in x year” or “korean made x brand guitars suck” is something I’m definitely not aware of. 

I really love Fender’s Jazzmaster and Jaguar but probably can only afford the Squier version with 500 bucks. Also love a good ‘ol Tele. I know there are other brands making awesome guitars like Prs and Yamaha but I only kind of know about Fender, so that’s why I come looking for help.

Ps: I have a Strat Squier Affinity HSS which I love but it has intonation and actions problems which I’m just tired of, I want a guitar with which I don’t have to bother with this again!!

So I have a guitar from a friend of my vegan heavy last night I was he needed a little work on it so I fixed up just needed a little adjustment with the neck and everything an Epiphone dot it's big and heavy and last night I laid it on the couch and I didn't realize that our little chihuahua dog was underneath a little blanket on the couch and I put it on top of him and I was wondering why it was like wobbly. so I'm IFTA it off and he poked his head out and looked at me like what? thank you doing. So anyway it's a it's a heavy guitar for a semi hollow body. This is the same friend that I put together the Telecaster that's really cool

 like Seymour Duncan has hundreds I don't know. So of course they also had different and it's totally up to you. And pickups are really they. They're a big part of your tone for electric guitar, but also the kind of a small part of your tongue
