I've been looking at getting a massage therapy gun for some time and finally decided to pull the trigger. Since there are tons of them out there and I'm new to this I went with the top 2 on every list I saw. I bought this Theragun Elite and the Hypervolt Plus at the same time to compare and decide which would be better for me and my wife. The Theragun Pro would be a better match for the Hypervolt as it can match the stall force of the latter, but at an extra $200 was not considered

 That being said, you will get more value out of the Hypervolt Plus. I'm returning this Theragun. At a much lower price point, this gun would be fine for light duty action, but athletes will want more performance especially at this premium price.

Better Options Available

 This is amazing, so yeah, i'm really excited about using this. More and i'm a big fan of it, i can't believe how light it is and how it doesn't make too much of a sound, really happy with it. So again, this is the theragan elite. This was a gifted item, but all views and opinions of that on my own uh for someone who is tight, has serious muscle problems and uh really needs a bit of that extra helping hand to be able to bounce back and carry on training more efficiently

 In the case, you will obviously find your theragan with a plastic film over the top and two mesh pouches inside the first mesh pouch. You will find your attachments now, including the one that comes on the theragun. You will find you have five in total and these are all designed for certain parts of the body and for different requirements. But i can detail that later in the video in the second pouch, you will find your power cable, which will come in bubble, wrap and just essentially slots into the back of the theragan to charge, and you will also find your instruction manual and everything you need To know about connecting it to the app and so on so on to the actual main device, as i say, you have a plastic film to keep it nice and protected and that slots into its own part

* First, stop using the Joycons as they offer absolutely no support and are the furthest thing from ergonomic. Binbok Joycons or Hori Split Pad Pro are both fantastic choices that are around $50 and are much more comfortable and supportive than Joycons. I recommend the Binboks, they tend to be a little buggier but Hori doesn’t support button mapping, which brings me to point 2.

 Theragun was difficult to work with on replacing the product so I returned it to Amazon (thank you Amazon!!). The replacement Amazon sent me has better battery life (still not 120 minutes) but the device is so loud that it makes it stressful to use for very long. Kind of defeats the whole purpose of a massage gun. In short, switching from the Theragun Mini I already owned to the Elite was definitely not worth it and I'm not confident that Theragun is putting out a good product

I haven't used other percussive massagers before so I was a little concerned about figuring out how to use it but the app that the theragun pairs with has good directions for the major areas that people could need. I was up and using it almost immediately with very little guesswork on how to use it. A lot of people that I cycle with had great things to say about it and when I mentioned I was having difficulty recovering from my volume increase recently they recommended this. Anecdotally it has helped, placebo or not it's half the battle and I'll continue to use it

Certain muscle groups were in so much pain that I couldn't even handle the lightest amount of pressure from the gun on the recovery setting. Over the last 5 days I've been able to handle more pressure in the optimal zones (a nice feature on the app)
