 I'Ve had these for about a year and a half now and they still look really new and they feel new as well. I picked these up for about 120 us dollars and i think that they're worth every single penny i've been making really good use of these shoes in terms of the fit and feel of the shoes, i would have to overall say that they are pretty comfortable. The soles are made out of air cushion. That'S why, when you wear these the soles feel very like cushiony, very airy

 These shoes are just aesthetically pleasing to look at and, as we all know, there's a trademark of the yellow stitching that goes around the soles and it just brings in air of elegance to your overall wardrobe and style. I personally think that it's really hard not to make these work with any style you go for. I put a good amount of mileage on these and they are still holding up really well and with the proper care. I think that these could pretty much last a lifetime, so there you have it

 Keep in mind that doc martens only comes in full sizes, so, depending on where you're looking to buy your doc martens, the sizes are either listed in u.s, uk or italian sizes in the u.s size, i'm six and a half and since they don't carry half sizes. I went down to a six

 The ankle is kind of the same height, it's lace and the best part is. This is only a hundred and thirty dollars, and i understand a hundred and thirty dollars is not necessarily cheap. It'S still expensive, but compared to the prada shoes. These are a lot cheaper, i'm getting the essence of the prada shoes, but at a much better price

 There is no flexibility when it comes to the toe here like none, so it's definitely important to wear socks with these, because the leather around the ankle is definitely going to dig into your skin. I can show you just how stiff this leather is. It'S going to definitely dig into your skin if you don't wear socks, but i actually don't mind because i think this style would look super cute with socks, so i'm actually really excited to buy some like frilly socks to go with them or like some colorful socks Or socks with patterns on them, so doc martens are pretty easy to buy.  So much and i got another pair of dark martins yesterday. These are the 1461 bex derby style and i cannot wait to start wearing these.  So I'm actually really happy that I actually got this pair instead of the boots. I got these in a size 7 so I feel like they're pretty true to size. They might run a little big because sometimes I wear a 7.5 but I would say they're pretty true to size

 It'S light in your feet, did not get any of those heel blisters that you normally get from any other leather shoes or dress shoes. However, after that one hour walk, i experienced a little discomfort around my pinky toes other than that. It looks so stylish that i got compliments from left and right and i felt that little airware cushion technology that gives comfort to my feet. I do say that it requires breaking in, but you know it will get better over time

 This is my first piece that i've ever owned from them, but a lot of shoes i see in this style have like a really glossy leather. Look to them, i'm really more into a leather kind of like this, where it's not super glossy. I just was never really crazy about shoes like that, and i have wanted and wanted and wanted a pair of dress shoes that aren't you know, super glossy and shiny. So, whenever i saw these on the darkmoon website, they were a must-have for me now, like i said there isn't any doc, martin branding on this shoe hardly except for on the soles of the shoe

 So if you're kind of like a nine and a half, they won't have a size for you. If you're a half size, i would have to say that that's more or less a judgment call on your end. My personal recommendation would be to size down because i went a full size zone on these and they fit me perfect. So i don't think you can win a half size down from what you typically wear would really affect how these fit you that much

 But you know just kind of make your own call on that one. Now tackling the comfort of these shoes, i will say that you will go through some growing pains when you start to wear these shoes. I don't know if this is just me or if this is something that happens to everybody, but the first time i wore these shoes. I was like this is the most uncomfortable thing i've ever put on my foot, i'm never wearing this again

 However, there is one thing that makes dog martin stand out among a bunch of other, these style dress shoes, and that is the bottoms now, the most recognizable feature of any doc marten is the yellow stitching. I think this is a really simple touch and you know i wouldn't have really thought that yellow stitching on an all black dress shoe would go well together, but lo and behold i was wrong. This looks really good. I think it's really smart for them to do this, to make the dark martin stand out among a bunch of other dress shoes on the market today, but it doesn't stop there

 Bearing in mind how long they're reputed to last, how Red Wing will resole them for you to yield additional years of life... Well, it feels like it could just be the beginning of something special

Get fitted in a store before ordering online, as others have suggested; turns out I needed a full size down as opposed to half, resulting in unnecessary exchanges.  Initial impressions (few days)- gorgeous, handcrafted details, thick, durable leather, tough-as-nails outer sole and strong hardware. The break-in has been absolutely brutal; three days in, I had to give them a break after my heels blistered, burst and bruised. My feet are flatter and more gnarled than the average pair, but you can likely anticipate a similar experience if correctly sized

 They feel incredible to walk in and are surprisingly comfortable. Sometimes they catch compliments, which is neat-o.  My.

  *3 Week Update*  I'm unsure if they're finally broken in, or if I've developed thick calluses in all the right places (probably both), but they're finally wearable without bandaging my feet every morning.  Cost: Yes, these are crazy expensive, in my opinion, but I think they will be well worth the price over the long run. I've got two pairs of work boots from years ago and they were both over a $100 which, at the time, was a nutty price to pay for shoes. But those boots have lasted me literally for 20+ years. I just had one pair re-soled and they are still going strong

5's (normal size for me) I got gives me a tizzy. These are murder when you first wear them. They are supper stiff and after a few weeks of fairly frequent wear, they are still a long way from what I think of as broken in. I'll put them on with a sweat sock and and initially, they are pretty tight and unyielding

 I fully expect these to be cut from the same cloth. I'm not normally a fan boy about things like shoes but I like these so much I actually bought another pair so I can rotate them out during the week.   Pros: comfort, style, quality materials, easy to repair and resole later on  Cons: laces will break on you, long break-in period, initial cost (if you've only bought boots from chain stores like Walmart or Meijer in the past)  Overall: Buy these boots in whatever color suits you, and once you've broken them in, you won't wear anything else.

Quality boots at a good price - you do get what you pay for, and what you pay for is a great pair of boots.

 I own british shoes, Grenson's ,that run a full size or size and a half big so based on that experience I bought a full size down and got a 9.5 to be safe. Thinking they would fit perfect without any insole help. Result

I went to a brick and mortar store to size them and then waited to buy. Red Wings RARELY go on sale from what I've seen and for some reason these popped up for significantly less than they were in store and everywhere else. I pulled the trigger and am very happy with my purchase

Before wearing them I treated them with two coats of Obenauf's LP and swapped out the round laces for flat waxed laces which I like the look of. I was worried about the bottoms being slick but have yet to experience any issues with slipping and they are very comfortable to walk in

Felt good from day 1

  Let me explain. These boots are classic, made-in-the-USA boots. The company has a long history and I believe they made boots for American soldiers in WWI and WWII. They are hand made, hand inspected, with leather tanned by the very company that produces them

 But since you will likely own them for 15-20 years they are not as expensive in the long run. And you'll get a pair of high quality boots versus 4 pairs of boots that fall apart in that time frame.  Iron Rangers are part of the heritage collection, so they are more of a nostalgia boot than a modern work boot (Red Wing also sells great industrial/construction boots). I wear these for some projects, but they are more of a casual boot

Corners are NOT cut when it comes to quality of craftsmanship, so you are getting a solid boot, with solid construction. Leather is real, stitches are strong, materials are top of the line

  You can certainly buy a nice pair of boots for much less and if you only wear boots a couple times a year, I wouldn't recommend these. But if you are in the market for a wonderful pair of boots that are comfortable, durable, and of the highest quality, look no further.
