The Asus Chromebook Flip (C302CA-DHM4) ($499) is priced to compete with entry-level Windows laptops, yet has the look and feel of a premium offering. Its metal body construction, backlit keyboard, beautiful screen, and long battery life make it a very attractive alternative to yet another plastic laptop. Although ostensibly an update of the Chromebook Flip($858.01 at Amazon Canada), one of Asus's earlier convertible laptops, this iteration is all new, and an excellent evolution of the chromebook in general

Overpriced Dell Chromebook

It was supposed to a Dell xps 13 9310 but it had the look and feel of a Dell 3100 chromebook. There is a $1500 difference in the price between the two models but it seemed like Amazon thought they were the same. I would not purchase this laptop unless you want an overpriced chromebook.

The new baseline for Chrome OS convertibles

It's rare to use a Chrome OS laptop that genuinely feels fast, well-built, and worth more than the $300 asking price that most Chromebooks cost. But if all those companies are going to succeed at this, it can't be rare anymore, it has to be standard.

Battery Life

So lightweight!

The battery life is very short (4ish hours) and it takes a long time to charge (about 1 1/2 hours). The brick on the cord gets very hot as it charges as does the bottom of the laptop. Otherwise it runs cool. I really like that there is no separate place to plug in the charger

--- Battery Life --- Sometimes, I get up to 11 hours of battery on the C302. 'Nuff said! --- Performance --- The Core M3 allows this system to get fast and to stay quiet. Sometimes, under heavy loads, the bottom of the C302 gets warm to the touch, but not to the point of pain. All the while, it provides one of the fastest web browsing experiences that I've ever experienced

BEWARE!!!! Paid full price for a new one and received a used one!!!

Laptop seems to be working "ok" as of now besides the WiFi issues everyone has been having and apps like Netflix and Hulu not properly working. Another thing that is concerning is the packaging. I'm pretty sure I was sent a used product considering it came in a cheap cardboard box and not in it's original XPS box/packaging. Also the laptop itself was not even wrapped in any kind of plastic or padding or anything and I am at a military base in Iraq

As a result, the system feels faster than other chromebooks. A trio of 1080p video streams ran smoothly while I used a half-dozen other tabs to view websites, check email, and stream music, and so on. A 4K video (displayed at 1080p) played alone only occasionally paused for buffering.
