Dell G15 vs Dell Inspiron i3793-5657BLK

This is a superb laptop for the money! I am not a gamer but needed a powerful laptop for research and other data dense functions. It allows me to have maintain many open apps and windows without conflicts. Although it does not have a touch screen, for the cost it has the size of screen, power and lighted keyboard that make it a great buy! Who knows, I may even start gaming!!

Overall quality is considerably lower than the Latitude but so is the price. For an everyday, personal/home/family use this is certainly meeting my needs. I hope to operate the device for three years minimum depending on tech advancements.

just got this today so only have updated and installed software but it's very responsive and smooth so far. Going to put BDO and New World (alpha Amazon title) on it via steam to see how it handles gaming on ultra and such. It should outperform my desktop that's 7 years old and can do it, this best be able as well! Have noticed it runs a bit warm already just to let you know, I bought a cooling pad for it but that's coming tomorrow I'll use these small fans I got for receiver in meantime. Will update later of course

The fastest laptops finish this exercise in about two minutes. These systems require a little more patience, but they get the job done. 

I originally purchased a gaming laptop that also served me well for just general use, and had a 1TB space. This one has even shorter battery life (should have checked the reviews and I would have seen 4 hours, if you aren't even using it for gaming) and only the 512GB drive - of course which the OS is taking residence on so even less space. Probably great as long as you have it plugged in, but I travel a lot, so battery life sucks. I guess this is the cost when getting a better graphics card?

The Intel CPU and integrated graphics in our unit can handle simple tasks like web browsing, video playback, and general productivity but aren't powerful enough for demanding workloads like 3D animation. Unfortunately, there's no USB-C port, and the webcam image looks dark and unnatural. The battery life is disappointing as it can't last through a typical 8-hour workday, so you have to carry the power adapter with you.

It's heavy, keyboard is not back-lit, the Num Lock button deactivates after closing the laptop, so passwords don't work and I get kicked out of my accounts. Very annoying.
