 The rod can be had for $50. It is slightly more expensive than this combo, but the value is so much greater.

Pretty new to Fishing as a whole. But I’m looking to pick up my first Baitcaster combo, what do you guys think of this Rod?

  I will continue buying this reel as it is every bit as good as my much higher priced Shimano Citica.

  The drag is smooth and not jerky.  It feels good on the rod and is very ergonomic.  I will continue buying this reel as it is every bit as good as my much higher priced Shimano Citica.

The handle is comfortable in the hand and the knobs grip well. Would definitely recommend for a someone who is new to baitcasting but it’s really worth it to add to any arsenal

The reason I would not get this reel is if you have the extra money to spend on something like this, as good as this really is, this is better. One negative about this reel is it's a little bit heavy

 You have that 200 size spool which is great. Lot of reels these days are getting a little bit smaller trying to cut down on weight and just really do not value line capacity as much. So I really do like the 200 size spool. I Like having quite a bit of line capacity so I think that's a plus

SHIMANO CURADO K (2 Year Review): Why You Shouldn't Buy the Curado K!

It's a good reel, it can cast far and feel nice in my hand. Only problem is that it is on the heavy side compare to my Lews and Abu Revo. Fish with it a whole day and it wears you out.

 just have that tight tension low drag set down. I really had no trouble with that which is why I really really do like your this reel as you could see the little dial on the side. I've done the third setting since that's for fluorocarbon. the fourth setting I did put it on while I was casting that wackier egg because it is for heavy wind or in this case light bait

 I know some of you guys don't really care about this, but if you're like me, you like looking into this stuff. So this is a 7.41 gear ratio reel which is absolutely my favorite reel for all around bass fishing. It has a 11 pound or 5 kilogram max drag which is pretty standard for most bass fishing reels and most Shimano bass fishing rails

 I'm not going to be doing a whole comparison between these two just because this will mainly be on the Corrado K, but I'll do a few points talking about hey, this differs or the similarities to the Corrado Dc. So let's get this off the rod and talk a little bit more about this reel. Alright guys, So we got the reel off of the rod and the first thing I could say about this reel. It is super cool looking sleek reel

 I like that bigger spool size for casting those larger baits like those big swim baits, but even though it is a larger spool size which is not necessarily known for being uh, good for casting light baits as you guys could see these reels that have been coming out and have like 50 size spool size rather than a 200. Um, those are supposed to be good for casting light baits, but this one has really no trouble with it. Now you're probably not going to be able to throw a trout magnet or something that small, but even throwing pretty much your smallest bass gear like a small drop shot worm Weightless. this reel had really no trouble with it casting into the wind as well

Reel don’t perform right, drag system not working right reel stiff casting is real noisy like something inside not right. Didn’t use reel when I first got it and my 30 days were up so I figured I just got screwed.
