 I've seen thousands upon thousands of reviews and decided to go with this cooler. Like many others say, this thing is MASSIVE. It only barely fits inside my mid tower atx case, so definitely research and look up whether yours will fit before buying it.  The installation was pretty nerve wracking, and is the main reason this thing isn't getting a perfect review

 As soon as this thing was installed and I booted up my PC, the results were IMMEDIATELY noticeable. My idle temps have plummeted from 65-70 down to about 25-28 Celsius. Under load ( I played an early 2019 game on almost max settings for several hours), the temp barely rose, going to about 34-36 Celsius across all my cores. This beast definitely does it's job VERY well and I'm thrilled about it

 Only time will tell if it has staying power and nothing breaks on it, but as of this writing, I love this cooler.  PROS  - Cooler is damn near silent, whether the computer is idle or under heavy load - Temperatures are very impressive with it. - It's inexpensive compared to other components  CONS  - Installation is not easy. - Instructions are a little unclear (again, have a video guide ready if at all possible) - The size can be a problem if you aren't prepared for it

What are your favorite brands of each PC component?

I'm using a Cooler Master Hyper 212 on my i5 9600k overclocked to 4.8GHz and I never go above 75 even in benchmark/stress testing. The other thing I would recommend is using some decent thermal paste, and more importantly: applying it correctly. Basically you want it to cover as much of the CPU as possible, without spilling over the sides

I'm using a 3600 myself and have a very limited budget. I used what Tech YES City (a YouTube channel that focuses on best value for money PC building) recommend which is a Snowman Cooler (Air Cooler) with GD900 (thermal paste). My temps are 36 °C Min and 50 °C Max when idle and 45 °C Min and 66 °C Max when in game. Hi, I just built my Ryzen 5 3600 and I am noticing that idle it has good temps (45-55) but as soon as I play some mild videogame (LoL or Valorant) it goes spiking like crazy from 60 to 72 Celsius. And my first thought is that the default cooler is not enough. I even used Cooler Master thermal paste. So I was wondering what good options should I consider? AIO's are more expensive than CPU air cooling fans but I dont know if that means that they are better. I've heard that Noctua's fans are really good but they are expensive where I live. Could someone list great budget air cooling systems? Thanks in advance.

CPU Fan or AIO?

  Obviously I went for the cheaper option and bought this bad boy. Let me just say outright that I wish I had bought this or a similar cooler a lot earlier.  As you'll read in other reviews this thing is really quiet. The stock CPU upon pressing the power on my case to turn on my PC would spin up to max and slowly drop down to idle speeds as the PC booted up

 Make sure you look at its dimensions and know the dimensions of your case to ensure that it will fit in with the panels on.  This cooler does come with some thermal paste with which to apply and install the cooler but I had some higher quality stuff laying around from a previous mother board upgrade/replacement so I used it instead. I'm not sure of the quality of the thermal paste that comes with the cooler but I'd probably spend a couple extra bucks and buy you a high quality paste alongside your order of this cooler just to be safe.  I should note that previously I only had 2 case fans installed in my case

 My guess was maybe the stock CPU cooler just wasn't doing its job as well anymore. I'd start up a game and within a couple minutes my PC would shut down and then start back up.  After doing some researching my two options were either get a new PSU as a failing power supply can cause the issues I was having or I could buy a new CPU cooler since I noticed that my computer was idling mid to high 50 degree Celsius. And would jump to the high 60s and mid 70s under gaming load

 It is a little bit fiddly working out which bit is which but certainly once you've got the bits done and you're kind of a little bit used to it, absolutely brilliant. Obviously if you want to increase the cooling a little bit more you can add that extra fan if you want to with the included equipment. Which would then actually probably put it a little bit closer to the D15 which again is still phenomenal considering the price difference and even the size difference. So overall I would say if I was to give this a star rating it's got to be a 4

 When we get to those higher temperatures and pushing those 12 cores and 24 threads in Cinebench obviously it is going to push this thing to the absolute limits. But there was no throttling as such, the actual clock speeds were slightly lower, didn't throttle as such but just didn't boost as high as it would have done with the D15. So there's a 50 to 100 MHz difference across the cores so there is that to it. If you're looking for the utmost performance you can get out of your processor then obviously spending more money on something like the D15 is going to make a little bit of sense

 Hi this is Mike from Mike's Unboxing Reviews and How To, and on today's video we'll be taking a look at the successor to the granddaddy of the 120mm tower cooler, this is the Hyper 212 Evo V2. Keep watching to find out more.

 Ok, so on today's video we'll be taking a look at Cooler Master's Hyper 212 Evo V2. So this is the highly anticipated successor to the original Hyper Evo 212, which if you're old enough to remember, was one of the first real 120mm tower coolers which actually made a massive, massive impact on the market and has basically influenced many people.

 CPU cooling pretty much from there on in. Almost all of the subsequent coolers on the market since those early days have been pretty much based around the 120mm tower cooler design with heat pipes and a 120mm fan. Yeah, this is pretty much what began the entire PC cooling revolution.

 Obviously there were previous coolers such as the bizarre windmill type ones and the salmon flowers, that kind of thing, but when this came out this was a real game changer for a lot of people, especially for those of us that were on possibly AM3 processors, the old AMD FX range which were rather thermonuclear in running, and swapping out the stock cooler for one of these dramatically changed CPU temperatures.

 So looking forward now in 2021, is it still a valid choice for your CPU, and is it actually any easier to install? Those are some of the things that we're going to be trying to find out in this particular video. We will be doing some tests later on against the Ryzen 9 3900X, and I'm actually going to compare it against the Noctua D15, which is a completely unfair fight, but I wanted to know how well this actually stacks up now against something which costs approximately four times the price.

 So let's take a look at the packaging and we'll see what has actually changed in the V2 over the original 212 Evo. So taking a look at the packaging, as you can see things have been updated slightly, and I wish I actually had one of the older ones here with me now so I could compare directly, but sadly that has gone into a system and is long, long gone.

 But this one now supports LGA 1200 socket, and also has a massive range of supported CPUs from both AMD and Intel. I'll put that up on the screen for you now so you can see what CPU socket it actually supports, but pretty much it is everything apart from Threadripper.

 So on the front of the box it really kind of sums up what has actually changed. So as you can see it says Hyper 212 Evo V2 with new install brackets and Sickle Flow 120mm fan. So essentially that is pretty much all they've done. They've added some new installation material, they've improved the CPU cooling fan, and also they offset the heat pipes, which we'll take a look at shortly.

 And talking of that it actually goes into more depth about what has changed on the side of the box. So yeah, we've got the Sickle Flow 120mm fan, we've got the asymmetric four heat pipe design, and also there is four of those direct contact heat pipes, which is pretty much carried over from the original design, and is still very popular with pretty much all CPU CUDA manufacturers on the planet right now.
