Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo vs Thermalright AXP90-X47

it started out at a decent rate but within less than 2 minutes, the rendering fps were less than halved due to thermal throttling. the case is completely open. i felt around the underside of the cooler and the cpu was waaay too hot to the touch. so, i'm gonna try and send this back

Bought one. Going to pair this with a EVGA Z370 Micro I scored for $75.99 brand new on clearance a few days ago on EVGA's website. Also got a Cooler master hyper 212 black edition for $35

The mounting system leaves much to be desired though. The mounting back-plate is big, and the screw/nut/bolt combo to hold down the cooler sticks out pretty far on back of main-board while not inspiring confidence. I like this cooler but be prepared to fiddle with the mounting and know that it won't fit all space constrained systems (though I was able to get it into mine).

Purchased this CPU Cooler due to my CPU running hot as of late. It is a 6-year old computer with an AMD Phenom II X2 550 Black CPU running at up to 3100 MHz and I don’t overclock. Not sure if it was due to the age of my CPU, or the Stock CPU cooler, or maybe background software conflicts causing stress on the CPU. But it was reaching 70+ deg

Probably has to do with the cooler being so close to the vented panels for fresh air. Of course if I set PBO to auto, the Fuma 2 could complete the Cinebench run at max 85C while the AXP90-X47 reaches 90C within 10 seconds.

12 ST3500418AS 500GB, Seagate 1TB kit ST310005N1A1AS-NK, in a Cooler Master Elite RC-330. I moved the stock Cooler Master 12cm case fan to the front, & added a Thermaltake A1280 to the rear exhaust position. With the nearly solid mesh front, this gives a straight-thru air flow, w/ the HDDs located one in the lowest slot, and the other higher than the top of the front fan. All cables were rerouted for max airflow

good job thermalright you didn't forget the basics ----------- Update I just received the full copper revision of this model and yes it is infact noticeably heavier...I will defently be swapping out the all black one for this one and pairing it with the noctua slim 92mm fan from a nh-l9a and probebly artic MX 4 compound and doing some before and after testings on all the difreces

This isn't a quiet fan. None of them (that I bought) are. Of course, the speed can be adjusted, but it doesn't quiet it down much at all, & too low will have the temps rise quickly, needing more flow & speed. So I knock off one star for that, because it's 2020, & quiet fans are as common as quiet mice & keyboards

I tried using the AMD stock cooler but my mini PC temps were always over 70 degrees, with this cooler I'm under 60 at most, and 36 at idle what a significant change, also the noise level is better, I'm not sure how to explain but the AMD stock cooler has an annoying noise, this one is less loud and less annoying basically I can stand this noise level the whole day without getting irritated by it
