Even with 4, I doubt you're getting the full 11,000 lumens (sofirn *says* you are, but testing of their previous lights reveals we should not believe this claim). I think you're better off forgoing the batteries and getting button top 30Qs or P26As elsewhere, even though that's $25-$30 (so $10-$20 more than the included cells), you're leaving performance on the table otherwise, likely not even getting the claimed 11k number.

 As far as the battery life goes, i did not see a table in the instructions to give you an idea of how long each brightness would last. So, what i did is just put it on turbo mode, and this thing does have thermal regulations. So, after about a minute, it stepped down to a lower brightness and that brightness lasted for a whole five hours. And then, after that, the voltage regulation kicks in and you can see the button light turns off, and i guess that's the indication that the battery is getting low and then it steps down again and again and then a few more times
