I bought this because I'm a fan of Cold Steel's folders and this was cheap. Now that I have it, I find that I rarely choose it over other chef's knives. It's a relatively thick blade and not ground especially thin. I have much slicier chef's knives

slices through bread like a dream. Feels good in hand. Such an upgrade from the old bread knife I had and at a terrific price. Good Value

Told her, try them out, they are yours, use them or give them back or give me the ones removed from the magnet. Got three German steel knives from the magnet, she kept all the new knives. My collection grew. This knife has a sharp thick serrated edge for full length of blade, she loves that blade, uses it more than any knife in the kitchen

I've acquired much nicer more expensive knives since I bought this one but i always go back to ol reliable kitchen classic.
