 Cracks and wear marks show almost immediately and are highly visible. I am fine with this look because these are casual boots for me (jeans/chinos). The style of these boots is not geared for dress attire. The lighter "gum" sole and distressed leather do not lend themselves to a dress-look

Clarks always do run large so I recommend getting something a half size to a size smaller than what you normally wear. My main qualm about the pair I received is the color. The color on Amazon was much lighter than the color I received, however that is a minor issue, that could just be my monitors color reproduction.  As I said I am a 10E Brannock, I have narrow heels. My best fitting shoes and boots are Viberg 9.5 1035 last and I fit Alden !0D trubalance.

Viberg 1035 (these boots): 8 (feeling excellent all around). As I said above, these boots fit me just so! They are snug around the heel, snug on my bridge and vamp without having too much pressure and the toe box adequately holds my pretty wide forefoot and is just tall enough to tap the top of my toes without being uncomfortable. Obviously the boots will soften up with wear but even with only an hour or so of wear around the house, they feel like they’re gonna be unbelievably comfortable.
