  Folks, this is a $42 wrist watch. And I think it is an incredible value for $42. So here are some thoughts and comments:  First, the nylon band is quite comfortable, much more comfortable than the resin bands found on most of the Casio G-Shock watches. The band seems stiff at first, but in short order it will soften up and contour to your wrist

  On the down side: The the leather ends that attach the band to the watch are pretty much completely worn out, but the fabric looks essentially new. I don't think it is ready to fall off my wrist, but the band is starting to look a bit shabby.  After 4 years of hard use and abuse it is time to replace the strap and possibly the battery. As I mentioned in my initial review, the cost of a replacement cloth/leather band and a new battery come quite close to the current price of a totally new watch (about $38 today)

 The timer, barometer/altimeter, alarms and displays are all still working as they should. The alarm is still loud enough to wake me up when needed. None of the functions have failed. The watch is still waterproof (I have not replaced the main seal/gasket)

Good, rugged and comfortable watch

 It's not a good choice if the main thing you want to be able to do is glance at it very quickly and see instantly what time it is. That said, the buttons work well and it looks like it can take some abuse. I've had lousy luck getting Timex watches to last, so if this proves to be durable, it's probably worth it even though I paid extra for features I'll never use.

the thermometer is useless because you're supposed to have the watch off of ...

 So, I tend to not wear it when I am warmer that comfort allows. The back-light lasts only for what seems to be 1.5 or 1.0 seconds, I find myself pushing it more than once to see the items I am wishing to see

Exactly what I needed/wanted in a digital watch

This watch is smaller than the 50 mm I expected but the quality look and feel makes up for it. I presume they measured side to side including the sensor on the left side of the crown. Numbers are smaller than expected in the face of the timepiece but clean and clear. Strap is 100% great

 I replaced the battery and it worked for about 12 hours, then died. I replaced the battery again, same results.  Since it is past the 1-year point I'm not even going to bother contacting Casio. From what everyone else says it would be a wasted effort

 The way the lights are designed, they're not as chunky as the likes on the Black Bay 58, so this watch actually wears even a little bit smaller than the Tudor Black Bay 58.. here's a side profile for both watches. As I mentioned before, Laurier doesn't look like a regular 13 millimeter thickness watch

 It's not as high-end. It's not as accurate as Celita as W200 would be. If this had a Selita as W200, I would give it two thumbs up. As it is right now, it's kind of getting medium thumbs up and I'm not a movement snob

 I'm gonna put it down so it doesn't interfere with the audio, but coming back to the price, it's a little bit high. The watch itself is very beautiful. It's well done. the finishes on the watch are great, but that miyota movement

Lorier Neptune Series 3 Review - 39mm Diver Watch

 If you have the opportunity to buy one and you're thinking i don't know it's gonna work, this is gonna work for you as it worked for me and many, many others. If you're looking for a vintage inspired watches with a really nice quality and acrylic which has a different look, different feel to the watch. Beautiful uh guilt look really nice. Bezel a little bit on a thinner side but even yeah you can see my gloves you know you can grab you know grip this really nice, not that much
