Canon Imageprograf Pro-1000 vs Canon PIXMA G620

There’s even a catch tray that needs to be purchased to capture all of the ink this printer wastes. I am not afraid of spending money to refill supplies but unit is completely off the hook. It really wouldn’t be that bad if I was printing a lot of photos or documents and the ink was consumed. This printer consumes ink all by itself

You don’t need to bother with 3rd party ink. Use canon everyday photo paper and the colors will turn out right. Don’t use 3rd party ink, the oem refills are already really cheap. A better printer would be the Canon G620 which has 6 different (better) inks

I have had it now for over a month and the fact that I can just go over to my computer and print from home is absolutely WONDERFUL!! Love the quality of the prints, people have asked where I got my pictures printed at and can not believe it when I tell them I printed them at home. My only wish is that it was a little wider to do a 20" wide x whatever length (in other words that it had a roll handler on it so that I could print longer prints, like panoramics). But over all the color is absolutely wonderful and deep and rich. The ease of use is awesome

Very affordable printer. Print quality is like a lab print. I printed too many photos using premium plus and Semi gloss papers and ink is still full. The only reason that I give 4 stars is : it does not print on luster papers; I tired couple of times and the prints had been failed, other than this its excellent printer for beginners
