The display is about what you'd expect out of an early 90s screen. This is, of course, part of the reason it comes at such a bargain price. Its touchscreen has the natural responsiveness of a smartphone, and its Android 8 OS (sorry iFolks!) ensures it uses an intuitive interface familiar to most smartphone users. It's definitely a device for early adopters who know their way around troubleshooting software or devices without having their hand held over the phone. Once some of the potential hurdles are cleared, it's a sweet beast with lots of potential and more functionality coming online all the time. This summer, it works for a couple of hours, tops. I can live with visibility compromised by direct sun. I can live with inaccuracy caused by turning it on and not having the first half to three-quarters of a mile detected. What I am done with is getting a couple of miles down the road, no more, and having the thing shut itself off

For the test I used the GW4 44mm BT and a Hammerhead Karoo 2 bike GPS paired with a Garmin chest strap to track distance, elevation, speed and heart rate. The ride data from my Karoo 2 was first uploaded to Strava, then synced to Samsung Health. The result show that the GW4 was very consistent with the data tracked by the Karoo 2 and Garmin chest strap. For some reason the graphs for the Karoo 2 are very smoothed out in Samsung Health, but I think this happened when the data synced from Strava to Samsung Health because the graphs do not look like that on Strava
