Significantly better than the NovaPro.

Battery: The battery on the Nova 2 lasts longer than the Nova Pro. I am comparing the battery while reading with Bluetooth & wifi off. The Nova 2 gives me about 15 hours of screen time. The Nova Pro generally needed a recharge after 8-10 hours

A good e-reader, not so good tablet

I need an e-ink reader to use for reading at night before going to sleep and being able to highlight text and later review and amend that text in Word or Google docs. I also want to be able to continue reading on tablet or PC when it is not before bedtime. So why the Nova 3. It gives me 7

I owned a Kindle Paperwhite for two years and I like this Boox Nova 2 better

I like this device better because the 7.8" display is a lot bigger than the Paperwhite which makes it so each PDF page can be shown at once or zoomed in a bit and have two page swipes per page. (on my Paperwhite it was like 3 page turns to get through a single page). I love how you can draw and add notes right onto the PDF and MOBI formatted books, this makes college life easier

I'm open to a device that is 8 inches or larger, and ideally has a nicer screen. Some options I was considering were the Galaxy Tab S7+ used (tough to find under $400), or going the e-ink route with an Onyx Boox Nova 3.

Battery Life

Bought on a whim and pleasantly surprised.

Great product. Amazing battery life. Charges quickly. The native reader app has run pretty much anything I use on a regular basis, including a few I was trying to load into their own apps and it picked upon it's own

Heavy, no page turn buttons, some apps laggy, poor reader but interesting tablet.

Being a tablet the battery life holds up way better than I would have predicted even if it is eink. One can add a keybord or mouse via USB OTG or bluetooth though again lag on typing. Anyway very interesting idea, very bad reader.

Ease Of Use

If either 1) I could use evernote as easily and smoothely on the device as I use the native notes app, or if 2) I could simply sync my notebooks from the native notes app to evernote without also connecting to an Onyx Cloud account, this would be a 5 star review.

One step forwards, two steps back

Its user interface is simple to understand, easy to use and full of unexpected – and useful – features. It’s divided down the spine into Library, Store, Notes, Storage, Apps and Settings. The Library allows you to read and annotate any kind of ebook, but more uniquely it displays book covers and illustrations in color.

One e-reader to rule them all

After switching on the Google Play Store, I was easily able to add the Scribd, Libby, and Kindle apps. The screen is larger than the Oasis, and it weighs more (there is a smaller Boox called the Poke if this turns you off). I wish there was a page turning button like the Oasis (the button on the Nova takes you to the home screen), but I like the little pen, which fits in the case that came with my Nova2. Added 8/03/21: This reader is slower than the Oasis

E Ink reader that supports 3rd party apps like Scribd

It’s the perfect portable size, and featherweight compared to my iPad. It came preloaded with google play which allowed me to quickly download the Scribd app, kindle reader and lots of other apps with tons of free books. It literally took less than 10 minutes to connect to my WiFi, download reading apps and be good to go. The Boox Nova 3 has the full functional ability of android tablet or iPad
