  Battery: The battery on the Nova 2 lasts longer than the Nova Pro. I am comparing the battery while reading with Bluetooth & wifi off. The Nova 2 gives me about 15 hours of screen time. The Nova Pro generally needed a recharge after 8-10 hours

  Calibre / Native reader program: This is the Achilles' heal of the Nova 2 (and the Nova Pro). It's dead easy to load epub books from my computer onto either Nova using Calibre and the USB-C cable. However, and this is a BIG however, the Native library program alphabetizes the books by author's FIRST name. This is bloody annoying and I hope Onyx fixes this problem soon

Significantly better than the NovaPro.

  I like this device better because the 7.8" display is a lot bigger than the Paperwhite which makes it so each PDF page can be shown at once or zoomed in a bit and have two page swipes per page. (on my Paperwhite it was like 3 page turns to get through a single page). I love how you can draw and add notes right onto the PDF and MOBI formatted books, this makes college life easier

Great product. Amazing battery life. Charges quickly. The native reader app has run pretty much anything I use on a regular basis, including a few I was trying to load into their own apps and it picked upon it's own

Bought on a whim and pleasantly surprised.

 I had to wait until the next day, but exactly as the instructions said it would do, the play store became active and available. (The instructions say wait 6 hours then power off and power on. Perhaps there was something that made my device take longer? I'm not sure.)  Once I got the Google Play Store working, I installed all the reading apps that I wanted along with Evernote and Google Keep, which I use extensively for research, checklists, and other important notes

 If either 1) I could use evernote as easily and smoothely on the device as I use the native notes app, or if 2) I could simply sync my notebooks from the native notes app to evernote without also connecting to an Onyx Cloud account, this would be a 5 star review.

 The other is it's location and the curved design of the tablet body. Since the button is placed right at the edge of the body where it's curved, it's making it even more difficult to press it far enough to register. I also suspect that they might intentionally design the button to stick out as little as possible in order to avoid unintentional activation. Will update once the device returns

A decent e-reader with a FAILED power button bad CS

LOVE the storage space, and after trying some different android ebook apps, I'm perfectly happy with the built-in reader.  Not too complicated to set up, super easy to sideload. I use epubs and have been happy so far with the way it displays text on the built in app. Easy to add my own fonts

 After switching on the Google Play Store, I was easily able to add the Scribd, Libby, and Kindle apps. The screen is larger than the Oasis, and it weighs more (there is a smaller Boox called the Poke if this turns you off). I wish there was a page turning button like the Oasis (the button on the Nova takes you to the home screen), but I like the little pen, which fits in the case that came with my Nova2.  Added 8/03/21: This reader is slower than the Oasis

 The battery life is great -- this can go days without recharging, unlike my Oasis which drops quickly and can only last a day of heavy reading without a recharge.  I've also started buying books directly from a local bookstore using the My Must Reads app. To date I believe this is the best e-ink reader that isn't tied to a platform. If someone came along and improved the speed and the feel in your hand, it would be a match made in heaven
