 Hi everybody not Wilson here and today I want to do a little bit of an unboxing I have a techniques

 Slq2 down here in my room that it's kind of a spare. I've got a different one upstairs that I use more

 Typically, but sometimes I listen to this one now

 I used to have a full receiver set up to it and all that sort of thing

 But I just kind of wanted to simplify that so I got a headphone amp

 but I got a headphone amp really kind of an inexpensive one and then I got this to to drive the

 The turntable itself. So this is a Behringer

 It's it's an amp. It's a phono phono amp and phono preamp and

 Yeah, it's again not expensive but it came through Amazon

 expensive anyway, as I've already said four times, but

 Ordered this yesterday and here it is it came today

 So I'm gonna do a little bit of an unboxing and I'm gonna hook it up and see what it sounds like

 I I'm not really gonna do a review. I'm sure it'll sound fine for my purposes

 Unless there's a bit of sibilance or something. I don't know that would maybe be annoying, but we'll see we'll see

 I think it's the SAP to I think it's gonna be pretty good. Apparently it can really really put out the volume

 Turn on the unit and my headphones, I think I mentioned there right now. They're pretty

 Some stone Sony MDR XD 100s. They sound fine, but I do have some audio technicas

 MX MX 40 that my wife is gonna get me for my birthday in another couple of months and

 So that'll be fun, but let's let's give the whole setup a listen here. So

 There's all kinds of power I'm hardly turning up the little volume here on the headphone amp at all and

 When the needle hadn't dropped yet, I had it up a little bit and I wasn't hearing any kind of hiss any kind of

 Feedback at all, but I do just want to give that another quick listen. Just test that again

 If I try really if I listen really really hard I can hear something something such a faint faint electronic signal at around

 Maybe 30% which is about the maximum volume

 I think I would put on this before I would the decibels would blow my ears out anyway

 So by the time I get to 40 and 50% and can hear just a little something that's it's really really discernible

 I just can't imagine getting to a volume like that. So all in all this little setup for me is going to be just fine

 So again, this is not Wilson listening to my techniques

 SLQ 2 and my new Behringer phono PP 400 great little preamp

 As you can see over there in the back I'm using both the RCA inputs and outputs as well as the power of course with the ground. And in case you're curious about my setup I'm using Technics SL1200MK2 turntable that is plugged in directly into the preamp and the preamp output is going straight into my powered speakers, they are Logitech speakers. And as a final review, like I said before I already finished spinning a few records and I am very very happy with the results. The sound quality is very good, I can compare it with an older preamp that I had before and the sound quality is slightly better and also the power of the volume is also a little bit higher, it's a little bit louder which is a good thing in my opinion

 Let's go ahead and try it out. Ok so I just finished setting up my preamp with my turntable. As you can see over there in the back I'm using both the RCA inputs and outputs as well as the power of course with the ground. And in case you're curious about my setup I'm using Technics SL1200MK2 turntable that is plugged in directly into the preamp and the preamp output is going straight into my powered speakers, they are Logitech speakers

 Now let's go ahead and take a closer look at the preamp itself.

 As far as materials it is pretty light, it's small, smaller than my hand and like I said

 before it comes with two types of outputs, one RCA, the red and white RCA connectors

 for the output and also the ¼ inch TRS output which can come in pretty handy.

 As far as input you only get the RCA inputs, the red and white ones.
