The Bedrock Cairn 3D PRO II Adventure is a unique pair of sandals that fall somewhere in between a minimalist and a full adventure sandal, offering benefits of both. Though their lack of straps penning in the outsides of your feet allows the Cairn 3D PRO II to accommodate much wider feet than many sandals, we still struggled with the sizing of these unisex shoes. Our lead tester typically wears a 7.5 in women's shoes and ultimately found that she needed a size 9 to be able to keep her whole foot on the Cairn 3D. The strap attached between the toes is far enough forward that even average length toes hung off the end of smaller sandals. And while finding the right size and adjusting for the most secure fit makes these Bedrocks very rugged, they can't quite match the stability and security of cross-toe and cross-foot straps found in many other models. Still, if you're after a minimally designed sandal that still provides support and protection, the Cairn 3D PRO II is a superb choice.

I bought these while visiting my daughter (who wears them) and I haven’t taken them off in 2 weeks! I’m 55 so comfort on my feet is a must and other than my good tennis shoes these shoes NEVER hurt when I’m wearing them or after a full day of walking around in them. I have wide feet and they are perfect! No breaking in needed! Definitely will purchase more! Highly recommend

Well, friend, check out the Luna Oso Flaco Winged. This super pared-down, thin-soled kick has outstanding traction and a secure strap system built to keep minimalist runners happy. After a few skeptical test runs, this model fully converted our lead tester to minimalist running, and she now puts dozens of miles per month on them as her primary trail shoe. If you're interested in dipping your toes into the minimalist running waters, the Oso Flaco is an excellent introduction.
When you're not running, the party screeches to a halt. First Look: Luna Sandals Oso Flaco and Mono

I really wanted to like these, but imagine the sharp pain of landing on the side plastic pieces that keep the straps in place…it was a no for me ;.;

  The quality is very good. The Vibram sole is very durable and a good choice for hiking and trails. Probably not the best option for really rugged things like rock climbing, but these are great for most typical day hikes. They are also easy to clean and dry very quickly, which can be a big deal if you are going to be trekking through rivers or bodies of water

 These are different from most other sandals. The less material, the better. This means you will almost always want to size down, which Luna recommends. I'm a size 10 in shoes, I actually had to get these in size 8 to get a proper fit

Luna Sandals are more rugged variants of the huarache. They are very lightweight and comfortable once broken in, but they can have a very annoying learning curve and break-in period. I'm giving the sandals five stars because they are very well built, but it's not uncommon at all for it to take over a week to find a strap configuration that works for you.  There are two tricks to getting these sandals to fit properly

 Even a size 9 was too large for my feet. The second trick, and it's really counterintuitive, is to not over-tighten the straps. The key is "snug, not tight." If you've worn Birkenstocks, the rule is you want to be able to fit a finger between your feet and the straps

Sandals with a learning curve. And size down!

 Once you put these on the soles sort of hug your feet very gently no matter how hard you shake your feet (because of running or any other activity).  My sandals' side stitching came unraveled after about a year, outside of the warranty period. Thankfully when I emailed them about this, they immediately sent me a prepaid 2-day shipping label to send them back for repairs -- all free of charge! I mailed them back on Saturday but got them back repaired on Wednesday --- amazing! Not only that, they seem to have completely replaced their previous stitched area in the side straps with a new riveted mechanism to fix the problem forever (see attached pictures). Bravo!  I usually don't write reviews but felt compelled to write one after they went out of their way to fix my out-of-warranty sandals

TL;DR: Great sandals, ergonomic design. Straps broke after 1 yr but got free repairs, took only 3 business days to get brand new straps.  These sandals fit perfectly. You can use their website's free foot sizing template printouts to get the perfect size
