Though their lack of straps penning in the outsides of your feet allows the Cairn 3D PRO II to accommodate much wider feet than many sandals, we still struggled with the sizing of these unisex shoes. Our lead tester typically wears a 7.5 in women's shoes and ultimately found that she needed a size 9 to be able to keep her whole foot on the Cairn 3D. The strap attached between the toes is far enough forward that even average length toes hung off the end of smaller sandals. And while finding the right size and adjusting for the most secure fit makes these Bedrocks very rugged, they can't quite match the stability and security of cross-toe and cross-foot straps found in many other models. Still, if you're after a minimally designed sandal that still provides support and protection, the Cairn 3D PRO II is a superb choice.

I bought these while visiting my daughter (who wears them) and I haven’t taken them off in 2 weeks! I’m 55 so comfort on my feet is a must and other than my good tennis shoes these shoes NEVER hurt when I’m wearing them or after a full day of walking around in them. I have wide feet and they are perfect! No breaking in needed! Definitely will purchase more! Highly recommend

I live and work in Papua New Guinea, and not only is the climate horrible for adhesives, but also the terrain can be very challenging. I have been wearing these daily for over 6 months straight. I have worn these in jungle swamps, on muddy trails, along felled-tree bridges, rocky water crossings, steep hill climbs, and for lots of walking in town. They are holding up very well and generally provide lots of grip

Same sandals I've been buying, one pair after another, for years, but I can't get comfortable in these! It's not the fit - they fit the same as always. I think it's the leather - it's not as pliable as my old shoes, maybe not as good a quality, and the first day I had to stand in them a long time, my feet were in total pain by the end of the day. One of the guys who works with me said he had a similar experience getting a new pair of his same old Birkenstock's. Has the company started cutting corners? Anybody else out there with a similar experience
