I love this knife and the benchmade company. My only reasoning for not being five stars is that one side of the diamond wood is a lot darker than the other and it looks quite off putting. Other than that it's fantastic!

Holding it in my hand, the Diamond Wood scales have a great feel: Smooth and though not super "grippy", I never feel out of control of the knife. The weight is just right for me. It sits just a little heavy in the palm which when opened gives a sense of stability and control, yet the knife remains agile and compliant. Deployment is like silk

 However, for me it was well worth it. It is clear that a lot of thought and work went into the design and build of this knife. I'd say that this is a case where you DO get what you pay for.

 So the uh i'll give a couple details on the configurations of these, because it can be kind of confusing and it was fairly confusing for me when i first got these in and i was looking at um, i was looking at kind of the the box designations And whatnot, so both of these are drifts um. So this is obviously the g10 version down here and then this is the titanium version up here. The titanium version comes in a couple, different configurations um, so you have a stonewash finish on the the blade or the the handle right here. As you can see, i think they also have like a knurled finish here

So this is the satin blade and then on the g10 version here, which is the orange g10

 So for starters, i'm going to flip this over and you can take a look at the pocket clip here now. This reminds me a lot of the spyderco wire clip because they look almost identical with a few few differences, but it's excellent. I mean the you know it there's not much to it, it's very basic, but it works, and i think it holds very well. I like a deep, carry clip on something like this

 Now i don't have one of the originals around anymore, that ended up being a knife that didn't stick around for the reason we'll talk about a little bit later, but and that was a knife that was really really good, but also really really frustrating, because it was So so excellent in so many ways, but then the opening was a problem because it had a hole that made it. Oh, that was okay for a flick opening, but the tent wasn't strong enough to make that a thing. So it was a knife that was really really good at every time, except the opening uh and the deployment on. It, though, was just not very good, and so it felt like a shot out of the pocket bounced off a light pole and landed in the stands right, not amazing, at all um
