Ranting about RAM overclocking on the ASUS ROG STRIX B550-XE GAMING WIFI

 Here are some split, uh, fan headers. Three pin to three pin. Okay, then this is. um, here are some again some Rgb connectors

2 Ssds. Stick this pad on the existing M.2 pad. Okay, so there's some additional double sided tape for your M

 As you can see, this is the heat spreader as there are thermal pads on the side, but I'm baffled to know why are they doing it horizontal or why are they doing it slanting. Also is that to like adjust to the design of Asus where everything is is lined up slam silently like on the hero or on the Strix motherboards. I guess that's the reason, but let me know down in comments if you know. but as of now this is really mind-boggling Imagine the performance read: 4 thousand

 This is again, what are some screws? Another screw, your setup screw, and okay, these are heat dissipators for single for single-sided S. M.2 Ssds. Stick this pad on the existing M

ROG STRIX B550-XE GAMING WIFI - Hyper M.2 x 16 Gen 4??

 The heatsink is also very beefy which is perfect for overclocking. It also includes a PCIe Gen 4 M.2 SSD add in card, which is a welcome addition.

The best B550 motherboard on the market

 I hooked it up with a Samsung 980 Pro and I installed Windows in less than 4 minutes!  It's got a built-in AI Noise-Cancelling so I can worry less about my surrounding while working from home and while gaming.  The best feature in this motherboard that I love so much is the built-in WiFi 6. I'm now playing Warzone via wifi with ethernet-like speeds and lowest latencies.  RAM overclocking has been pretty stable so far

  What I really loved about it are the following:  PCIE 4.0 is no joke. I hooked it up with a Samsung 980 Pro and I installed Windows in less than 4 minutes!  I actually bought a manfrotto. Um, anyway, so plenty of, uh, heat sinkage around the outside of the socket. This up here as well. you dropped

 I might sort it out before the end of the video anyway. Uh, power. Around the top, you can see there is an awful lot of power phases around the outside of the Cpu socket. I can tell you that it's uh, 14 plus two phases

 At the very bottom of the board you have your front panel headers. You've also got the uh, clear Bios thing here. It's worth getting the little switches that you can use for turning a board on, but also for the clear Bios, you literally have a little and then you can just clear the bar so that's really quick and easy. It's basically a power header, starter, or reset switch

So nice to be able to say the word motherboard and Amd together because there's been too much graphics cards and Nvidia lately, so this is a very, very early look at the B550 Xe Rockstrix board. It's basically their B550 Extreme. They've thrown loads at it, so it's going to be at the top end of the scale for both features and price, but it could be the B550 that you might save a bit of money on and go for some features rather than going for the X 570 version if you're going to be buying a 5900x or even a 5950 X if you're lucky enough. Obviously there are going to be other Cpus and stuff, but they're just the two top of the range ones that I thought I would pick out for uh, possibilities with this

I think you want to change MB to B550-I instead of X570. It will save you about $50 with pretty much the same performance. ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte either will be fine.

However, I'm not sure that the parts would fit or not and some advice or precautions from the more experienced community would be much appreciated!

First Build! NR200

 The motherboard is compatible with the L9A but it's not compatible with the back plate. Next we'll go to the Southbig Shuriken 3. The Southbig Shuriken 3 is not compatible with this board in its default orientation. The Noctua L12S Noctua C14S and Athlon Blackridge are all compatible with this motherboard

 Now I'm going to cover some pros and cons or my pros and cons of the board. I like the fact that it has a dedicated clear CMOS on the back panel as well as a USB type-c front panel header. I also appreciate the the minimal aesthetic of the board. I like how it looks

 As for cons I do not like the internal connector layout. It's very unusual and the motherboard has a dedicated pump fan header. Now that could be both a pro and a con as it replaces the system fan 2 header. The motherboard also doesn't include any back plate which is not unexpected but would have been nice to have

MSI B550I Gaming Edge Max Wi-Fi Review - Best Mini-ITX Motherboard?

 If we take a little bit of a look at that heatsink for the chipset it is unusual that it's actively cooled, I think they did it just to make sure it was cooled properly and you can see it's got a little integrated fan with a cable that plugs into the motherboard to power that fan, I'm not sure about acoustics of this fan but yeah we'll find out in a build video later down the line. There's also a BIOS flash button, some USB ports, there's a PS2 port if you decide to use a legacy mouse and keyboard, there's also an HDMI 2.0 port, antenna connectors for the Wi-Fi 6, there's some USB 3.2 ports, there's a USB type C port, there's also 2

 Hey Gear Seekers, I'm Nick, it's time to check out some more B550 boards today and we're checking out an ITX board from MSI, it's the MEG B550i Gaming Edge Wi-Fi, according to the box over there because the name is really long, I couldn't remember it and just remember ladies and gents, and I say this in every motherboard video we do on the channel, this is not a review, roll the intro. Like I mentioned in the intro, these motherboard videos are not reviews, they're just overviews so you can get an idea of what comes in the box of the brand new motherboard and the feature set of these new B550 boards, so yeah, let's check it out. Alright ladies and gents, it's time to check out the MSI MPG B550i Gaming Edge Wi-Fi, wow that is an absolute mouthful, anyway, let's get the motherboard out of the way so we can take a bit of a closer look at what's in the box with this brand new ITX B550 motherboard from MSI. First up we've got the Wi-Fi 6 antennas, this is pretty standard for all of these motherboards but I do actually prefer these dipole type of antennas to the shark fins, they're just a lot nicer, there's also two SATA cables or SATA cables for your 2

2 slots on this motherboard, there's one on the back side of the motherboard and one on the top side of the motherboard as we're about to see a little bit later in the video. There's also the quick installation guide, this is a handy little bit of documentation that will show you how to install a stock CPU cooler for both Intel and AMD socketed CPUs and it's great for a first time builder. Alright enough of that, it's time to unsheathe this new B550 ITX board so we can take a little bit of a closer look at the feature set and all of the things on the board, are you ready? Let's do it. First off there's a 3 pin 5 volt addressable RGB header, there's a USB 3

0 port, antenna connectors for the Wi-Fi 6, there's some USB 3.2 ports, there's a USB type C port, there's also 2.5 gigabit ethernet which is becoming standard very very quickly which I'm completely behind. There's 7

2. But here's the biggest gripe with this board, and this one is really a head-scratcher, and this board does not have your typical backplate. You'll see three cutouts on the MSI one, and the keepout zone is not your typical AM4 type, like with this. If you're absolutely certain you will only use coolers that use the included backplate, that's fine, but many coolers don't, like this Cooler Master backplate here

 Now if all clock boosts matter to you, then I think this one is a touch more temperamental, although for real world performance it really will be hard to distinguish. As for board features, it's fairly competitive with the rest of the B550ITX boards, with a front and back M.2 slot, 5 USB 8 ports with 2 of these USB 2, 2 USB 3.2 Gen 1, and 1 Gen 2 supporting up to 10 gigabits per second, and there is also a Gen 2 USB-C port at the back

 This would absolutely not work with this, because it's going to go over those components, and lots of custom liquid cooling and AIO solutions use proprietary backplates as well, which are not going to work with this board. So this is quite limiting for upgrading and trying new things out. This socket does sit pretty high up. It's identical to the Gigabyte's position, and that meant the U12A was touching the fan grille with the NR200 test setup here

 This one here is the MSI Gaming Edge Wi-Fi B550ITX, and this one was requested by some of our viewers, so thanks again for suggesting this one for review. For the Gigabyte Aorus board, the pros were the build quality, the power delivery, passive board cooling, and the cons were the odd board layout, the lack of a USB-C front header. The ASUS Strix kind of picks up where the Gigabyte left off with an excellent board layout, a USB-C front header, a low CPU socket position for better compatibility, but so-so power stages here complemented by an active cooling fan. Now just to be fair, any of these boards will run even the 3950X or 5950X at stock without issue, but if you're looking for a decent compromise on specs alone, you might be drawn to the MSI board here, and this one has an A plus two VRM setup with 60 amp stages

The MSI Gaming Edge Wifi B550 ITX - Tested!

 I got my SSD in RAID mode and that made a huge difference. These audio drivers for these motherboards are very faulty. At least it's working and gave it a 4 out 5 then a 3 out 5  Update 2: Now Bluetooth is missing from device Manager. I dont know what trickery is this but I keep getting errors when you update a driver

 I upgraded my 980 ti to a RTX 3060 and now all the power is drawing to the CPU. My last attempt is a water cooler and if that fails this is the worst motherboard I ever purchased.

 It was working before but I used MSI Live 6 to update the driver but at the end it just made my Bluetooth disappeared. I didnt had this issue in my older MSI ITX made for intel when I update the drivers with MSI Live 6. I tried reinstalling the drivers but its just doesnt show I have Bluetooth, Now I have to get a USB bluetooth dongle for now.  Update 3: Okay now my whole socket for my CPU is getting high temperature at 94C and I’m using a Ryzen 7 2700X stock not Overclocked which I thought won’t be any problems
