 So we have to open up the lid. Here's what the inside looks like. So let's say if you guys want to move it around, there's literally nothing that sticks on there. So if you guys want to cook like egg or anything else, what if you guys want to cook in here, that is totally up to you guys

 So the small one is basically 8 inch and the big one is 10 inch. So if I bring it up close, here is basically what the product looks like. So the inner layer they do have the non-stick coating on here. So you definitely want to take care of it correctly when you guys do use it

 Now to come to unboxing and testing the pot out. Now to answer the question of whether or not it's actually worth it or not. So for this set, I do have to say that it is pretty worth it if you guys want one and need one of these, especially if you guys are trying to look for some pots that are not that big. Then I do have to say that it is pretty worth it

 So I believe for this product it does allow you guys to use it on gapped stovetop and you can definitely use it on induction cooktop as well. But the way how to design all the pots and pans has a similar design. So if you guys take a look at the 8 inch, it basically has the same design. It is slightly smaller

Should You Buy? AmazonBasics Non-Stick Cookware Set

 But I don't like it. What I do like is when a product I buy on Amazon exceeds my wildest expectations. Not that my expectations for this cookware set were all that wild. Rather tame actually, considering my general aversion to cooking in general

 However, after having had and used this set for some time now, I must say I am most impressed. Not downright giddy mind you, but impressed. I can't talk of cookware going for a lot more than this, but I'm not sure buying such would be worth the extra money anyway because these are simply great. Very solid and well put together, heat absorption and duration are excellent and the heavy glass lids add a lot to the general overall feeling of quality here

 Don’t leave spatula on the pan while cooking or hot like some people do. Hand wash the pans right after cooking and not leave food in it overnight. Don’t cook in high heat. Low to medium heat

The Scanpan Classic 12.5" is a beautifully constructed wok made by Danish craftsmen. The PFOA/PFOS-free nonstick coating is exceptionally effective, and the heavy aluminum bottom distributes heat uniformly. When measuring heat distribution, the Classic displays a 111ºF difference between the bottom center of the wok and its rim, while some of the competition show differences in the 200-300+ degree range. The Classic also has a near-perfectly flat bottom that makes for a stable, predictable cooking platform. At the same time, the sidewalls are angled such that pan-tossing food is not only easy but enjoyable.
We are big fans of the Classic. However, we must admit that it is not a "classic" wok. Best for Most

 I have used metal cooking utensils occasionally and although there are a few light scratches and nicks, none are completely through the surface and haven't affected the non-stick performance as of yet.  ***UPDATE 1/29/2014***  The non-stick coating still hanging tough but not quite as slick as when newer. A bit harder to wash, but still easier to keep clean than stainless. So far still happy

. gotta love when your egg or whatever slides to the side of the pan because the pan warped. I assume this is because the metal in the bottom of the pan is too thin.

My issues with cheap non-stick pans from department stores:  - Low durability - non-stick coating would fail, some would even flake and leave chips of the coating in the food.  - Uneven heating..

After one year of heavy use......

I’ve tried several brands of nonstick cookware and actually I’ve been satisfied with several of them (I would not hesitate to recommend these other brands - such as the Calphalon Signature pans - to others.) But this pan stands out due to a base which is noticeably heavier- and therefore, distributes heat more uniformly. (It also retains heat and takes longer than my other cookware to cool down to a temperature where I can wash it.) The nonstick surface is superb - hard enough to stand up to metal utensils but truly easy to clean, and it is well-constructed

 Lastly, the handle is attached without having the bolts protrude inside the pan, a feature which I really like as it makes stirring a sauce and cleaning the pan easier.

Cookware perfection

 Interestingly enough, I can pan fry Parmesan cheese in a bare pan and it will not stick! Perhaps it is oily by nature?  All in all a great product if you do not abuse it. Heats nice and even on gas burners.  UPDATE: AUGUST 2012  Bought the pan in June of 2009. Have used it extensively on a daily basis and it has been a very good pan, BUT it is getting less and less non-stick as the days go by

 The extension handle does get hot so make sure to use a good hot pad when lifting. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend purchasing both the pan and glass lid if you cook for larger groups. It's a good investment.

 I also purchased the glass lid and have used it every time I've used the pan. It is somewhat heavy, so having the small extension handle on the pan has been very helpful. The extension handle does get hot so make sure to use a good hot pad when lifting. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend purchasing both the pan and glass lid if you cook for larger groups

Eliminates using extra pans

With normal use and the use of plastic, silicon, and metal utensils, the protective coating immediately chipped off! So disappointing! This pan is and has been completely useless now less than 4 years later. Everything I cook in here sticks terribly, clean up is awful, it lasted less time than our old teflon pans! I really want to believe in the ceramic coating and the ability to use a metal spatula, but this has not been my experience.

I use a little butter and can get out most of the eggs with the wooden spoon and then can wipe out the little bits left with a paper towel before quickly washing with soap and water. The 9 1/2 inch is a good size for most of what I make, but I also have the Scanpan Classic Everyday Pan for bigger things
