All-Clad B1 Hard Anodized Nonstick Fry Pan Set 8″ & 10″ vs Scanpan Classic 12.5 Inch Fry Pan

Customer Support was of little help and suggested I send the pan in to be tested (2-3 week turnaround time). When I asked to speak to an engineer or technical person, I was told none were available. At this time, I recommend avoiding this cookware.

gotta love when your egg or whatever slides to the side of the pan because the pan warped. I assume this is because the metal in the bottom of the pan is too thin.

I am a young woman and exercise and lift weight every day. But these pots and pans are so heavy, I can't imagine an older person being able to hold in one hand and lift using these tribble designed handles. The Williams Sonoma prodcts have round shape handles which are much much easier to hold and carry. I have purchased the All-Clad 10 peice D5 stainsteel and 2 non-stick frying pans

Sometimes I forget to put butter in before the eggs and they're harder to get out but not terrible. The 9 1/2 inch is a good size for most of what I make, but I also have the Scanpan Classic Everyday Pan for bigger things. The weight is a huge difference - this one is perfect, while the big Scanpan is almost painful to dump things out of, so I have to scoop it out. I recommend this pan as an alternative to Teflon, although it apparently still isn't completely non-toxic

Do I only use wood or silicone utensils? Yes. I found the 12” anodized All-Clad on sale locally and fell in love. I ordered this set to replace my smaller non-stick pans and I do not regret it at all. I used to buy a cheap new (8”) from the local restaurant supply about every year or two just for eggs, these pans are way better and cheaper in the long run

UPDATE: AUGUST 2012 Bought the pan in June of 2009. Have used it extensively on a daily basis and it has been a very good pan, BUT it is getting less and less non-stick as the days go by. I am looking around for another pan as this one is getting a bit long in the tooth and has noticeable scratches even tho I use only nylon or wood spatulas. I have had a good enough experience that I am considering another scan pan, but I see there are other options that have similar claims for less money

5. This is not only beautiful, but solidly built pieces of cookware! It's very thick metal and the coating appears to be very sturdy--much more so than I have seen in all of my recent (in-store) searches of other brands. I don't think I will be needing to purchase fry pans again.

With normal use and the use of plastic, silicon, and metal utensils, the protective coating immediately chipped off! So disappointing! This pan is and has been completely useless now less than 4 years later. Everything I cook in here sticks terribly, clean up is awful, it lasted less time than our old teflon pans! I really want to believe in the ceramic coating and the ability to use a metal spatula, but this has not been my experience.
