 It'S got a thin profile which not just looks good, but in my opinion it feels great, but the clapping ends. Now, let's talk about the cons with the air duffel back to continental one, the shoulder straps aren't stowable. Now I hate saying cons about features that I wish existed, that don't exist, but I just feel that if you wanted to make this a true duffel experience, you could have taken the back panel and had a little hidden section where you could throw the shoulder straps. Therefore, fully transforming from backpack to duffel cuz, it never fully transforms, and sometimes I just want it to be in duffel mode - carry on the side handle you know, carry on the top handle and the straps the shoulder straps just kind of flap it around, and it's Just not that full transition that I crave all right come on

 But you do like this little zip down guys. So let me show you is when you're not using it, you just zip it right up and it just kind of folds right into the backpack and it's not big and noisy. It looks pretty seamless but then you're like. Oh you, boys got to stay hydrated, you just unzip

 It'S not gon na be flying all over the place. It most importantly, it's good for quick access, because you want to be able to get your laptop out real fast. It'S like. Ah, this is good

 You know just like they'd, like that real estate, right there really nice and it's not popping out on the sides. It'S not boxy. It'S got a thin profile which not just looks good, but in my opinion it feels great, but the clapping ends. Now, let's talk about the cons with the air duffel back to continental one, the shoulder straps aren't stowable

Aer Duffel Pack 2 Review [Insider Guide] - Nomads Nation

As Duffel pack is considered a gym bag I was a bit concerned about how it would fair against smelly items and happy to report that the interior liner is actually treated with an antimicrobial coating to control bacterial odors and growth. This simply means that your bag won’t stink as easily as a regular backpack you might use to carry your workout gear.

One of the side pockets on the outside of the pack actually features a pretty high-quality key clip which is a nice touch as you can store your keys in a dedicated compartment and not in the top quick access pocket (like most of the bags) where you often throw a phone, wallet. I was always puzzled why would someone store keys with other, often delicate items. Aer made a smart choice of providing you with a dedicated pocket for your keys so the rest of the stuff is safe.

This is my first time using the Duffel pack so unfortunately, I won’t be able to do a comprehensive comparison with the previous iterations of this backpack, but I will share my experience of using the bag for over 2 weeks as an urban EDC, mobile office and a gym bag as well as compare it to some other popular options on the market.

Overall the comfort of the Duffel pack is exceptional and many bags that cost twice as much don’t come close to what you get with this Aer’s offering. Consider me impressed.

REVIEW: AER DUFFEL PACK 3

 The laptop department here is very similar to what we've seen in all of our other bags, so it offers a good amount of protection on the bottom and it's not quite elevated, but it doesn't feel like your laptops, actually touching the ground, and this offers a fair Amount of protection I wish it was a little bit firmer. The padding is a little bit more flexible than what I would like to see, but it still feels like it's gon na offer a good amount of protection to your laptop. I like how wide this comes out in case you have a thicker device that you'd be able to fit in here pretty comfortably. It holds my 13-inch here with room to spare and then, as you can see, on the inside of the compartment, there's no kind of felt lining on either side but still, but still offers a good amount of padding

 It'S a similar size to this, and it has some really interesting accessories that it includes. But it's also gon na be a higher price point so that bag cost about two hundred two hundred twenty dollars, depending on when you're able to get it versus the 170 for this one and even though they have kind of the same leader volume. I was surprised by the fact that I was able to fit a little bit more into this bag. I felt like this one just fit my packing style a little bit better, and then I was able to fit everything that I needed a little bit easier and so the boundary supply bag is gon na be great

 You have to play with so open. This up, as I mentioned earlier, it has a really nice well-protected zipper here. I like that it has this little tab here to help close the bag up. I wish there was one at the top to help open it, but you can just hold the two zipper pulls here and it's still really easy to open the bag, and so this opens up nice and wide

 If I have some more sensitive items in here - and I really like the vertical orientation, which makes it a little bit easier to use, especially as you're putting this down and using it more as a duffel bag, so really great job here and so the last kind Of little organizational compartment that this has on the outside is kind of almost a hidden compartment here. On top of the water bottle compartment, which I thought was a really cool addition just opens up very easily, and this isn't a huge compartment, but it does offer enough space to be able to hold something a little bit bulkier. So currently, what I have in here is my GoPro Hero, 3 plus and, as you can see, I can almost fit my full hand in there, so this might be a good spot to also put a mouse or another portable charger that you want to get to More quickly, this also has a nice little keychain loop on the inside, so it's a great spot. If you have a bigger keychain with a lot of stuff on it, you can actually fit that in here very easily

Best Daily / Gym Bags: Aer Duffel Pack 2 Review

First off, the Pack 2 offers a well-padded **16-inch** laptop compartment (so your laptop with fit nicely), with a false bottom to protect your tech from the side effects of daily abuse, scratches, and accidental drops.

Second, it is a 15L capacity bag, so will be suitable to carry around on location as you wish for a relatively smaller bag. 

And third, the organization in this bag is well thought out. Apart from the top pocket for your sunglasses/phone, the front compartment features organizational pockets for your mouse, cables, headphones, flash drive, stationery, and other office gear.

I was very torn earlier in the year and settled with the AER travel pack 2 and I have to say it’s fantastic. (Thank you to everyone in the r/onebag community for helping me decide. 

I travel about twice a month for work for 3-4 days at a time and it’s been an absolute dream. It fits like a glove under the seat even when I don’t compress it (so long as I don’t over pack it). 

My concern is when I’m on location. The pack is just a tad bit on the large side. It’s not particularly a big problem but I was looking for a day pack. 

When I’m on location, I’m primarily in an office setting so all I’ll need to carry is my 15-inch laptop, charger, a water bottle, and some office supplies. 

I don’t want something that looks like I’m going to go for a hike as I’ll only use it in an urban setting. 

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!!

Day Pack for AER travel pack 2

I've onebagged with this backpack in Japan for 3 weeks with clothes, laptop, camera/filming gear, diabetic supplies _(extra blood glucose monitor, insulin pen, syringe kits, glucose monitor supplies, etc)_ and it was _AWESOME_ - I used the packing cubes for clothing in the expanded Suitcase Compartment when traveling between hotels/lodgings and when I arrived at the hotels and AirBnBs, I simply removed the packing cubes, left them at the hotel and used the backpack in tis Daypack mode.

* The main compartment is roomy enough for all of that _and more_ and also has a fleeced tablet pocket

I’m looking to emigrate from my county (Central Europe) and move to another European country. I decided to take a year or two to nomad around the place and live in each for about a month.  


I’m looking for a bag that would suit my needs. As far as I could research I need around 25-33l of space and outside of clothes I need to carry: Macbook Pro (13”/16”), 75% keyboard, mouse, iPad Pro 11” (Sidecar second screen). Potentially a Rode NT-1 microphone with the AI-1 audio interface. So a lot of tech.  


I’m looking for a bag that I could buy in Europe that would fit my needs. For now I’ve seen these models:

Need help finding a digital nomad onebag for travelling in Europe

I was browsing the Farfetch website and stumbled on this Porter-Yoshida bag and I absolutely fell in love. The right size, made from strong Cordura/polyurethane materials, leather accents, some molle in the front, seatbelt material for the strap, metal hardware, Maglite mini flashlight included, and Porter leather keychain. It was *obviously* a man's bag. nothing feminine about it

 I wanted a 3 bag setup that I could use individually, but also combine everything together so it would be suitable for a weekend or week-long trip.  Hope this will help someone in the same boat.

My sixth-grader wanted a basic black backpack that would hold all her books/essentials since they don’t have lockers. She chose this backpack and was excited when it arrived. She immediately filled it with everything she needed for school only to realize she couldn’t zip it closed because the zipper had been sewn to the backpack and could not be moved.
