But there are plenty of drawbacks that give me pause. Update: I ended up returning this laptop as the freezeups were happening more, even after I finished doing all of the windows/driver updates. Perhaps those will be fixed in future firmware patches, but I'd rather get a computer that functions "correctly" from day one. It's weird because as I mentioned, overall performance of this laptop is very impressive and far outshines my old 2 core macbook pro, but I don't have the same freezeups on the mac (running windows) - I imagine that this has something to do with lack of AMD drivers or something

Usually, to get a laptop of this size and this 'thinness', with this performance, you'd have to be looking at at least $1000. I'm happy with this laptop because: 1. It's really light. Not the lightest laptop ever, but it is just so

Great, easy to use laptop

Also, I really love the size of this laptop. It is not thick and bulky at all. It is very thin and lightweight and is great for traveling and being able to work on the go. Overall, i'm a big fan of this laptop and all it's features

For those ex MacBook Air owners, what do you miss of them? Thinking about getting something for media consumption and reading, and I'm between a x250 and a MacBook Air 11-13 2013-2014

I'd go with the macbook air, I prefer the size and the screen is a lot better than the standar 768p screen on the x250. I believe the thinkpad version of that macbook would be a 2nd gen thinkpad x1 carbon.

They do start to look and feel a little bit cheap, considering how much they cost and when you consider the top end 3x has the same pretty average 108...

They are the Dell XPS 15 9510 ($1,270 for 256gb, $1,370 for 512gb), the Microsoft Surface Laptop 4 (currently $1,300 for 256gb), and the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 9 ($1,110 for 256gb, $1,375 for 512gb). All three are more premium in design and build and have better displays (either FHD+ or 16:10).

Battery Life

Great laptop for students on a budget!

The charger plug doesn’t fit nicely into the computer. I have to push it in harder than I would like to get it to charge, and I always worry that it’s going to break. However, the battery life is so great that I’ve only had to charge it once in the past three days. I’ll update later when I’ve spent more time with it

2021 best ThinkPads with longest battery time?

Btw, there is no ThinkPad that can compete with M1 Macbook battery life. It's on its own class of machines. (ARM)
