The display on this laptop is very straightforward. It&rsquo;s an IPS panel with a full HD (1,920-by-1,080-pixel) native resolution.  Screen resolution is great and videos playing look like a TV screen. Small, obivously, but compact, lightweight and a fast machine. Would recommend!

 Again, not even as loud as my old laptop so it doesn't bother me at all.  WEIGHT: This is so lightweight! My old one was a bit heavy and clunky, so I appreciate the fact this is so light. The downside of that is that the casing does feel cheap. Like it might not survive getting dropped on the carpet

The keys have a comfortable texture and a heck of a lot of travel, without being too loud. The typing experience feels closer to that of a mechanical keyboard than to that of flatter laptop keys. I actually found myself eschewing my personal laptop during my testing period in favor of the ThinkPad because of how much I love typing on it

 The price for more performance is the louder fan noise, but we believe this is a good compromise. After all, you should be able to utilize the performance of the components you paid for. However, the cooling solution seems to have reached its limitations, and more powerful components will probably require an overhauled cooling solution for the next model. The third generation of the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme offers more performance, but you have to live with louder fans in return

 The input devices (the keyboard in particular) are still excellent and overall, the the third generation of the ThinkPad x1 Extreme is once again a very good multimedia laptop.
