 So here on the instructions it tells us the first thing to do is to go up onto the upper right hand corner and go add a product. So we're going to add a product and we're gonna select Wise Bulb and tells us to connect the phone to the Wi-Fi which we are and have our password ready. We're gonna power cycle on and off your light three times. Enter pairing mode

 I've got these sensors from Wise. This is one of the motion sensors and I have this one placed in my side yard so I can have This one set up to either turn on my side yard light or even turn on a light inside the house when it senses motion. So there it is, The latest product from Wise, the Wives of Bulbs. We've liked everything else they've put out and so far everything has worked great

 now. what's the Sun Counting down all of the lights inside my house that are connected to it turn off and another thing you can do is if you get cameras like these from Wise, when the camera sends motion, you can have it trigger your lights on and the same goes with these little gizmos. I've got these sensors from Wise. This is one of the motion sensors and I have this one placed in my side yard so I can have This one set up to either turn on my side yard light or even turn on a light inside the house when it senses motion

 When it does that, it turns off all the lights or at least it turns off the smart bulbs. So let me show you how that works. I'm going to come in here. I'm going to come up and press the away button

Wyze Color Bulb Support?

  The big downfall was when the electric flickers (power hiccup) then the bedroom light turn themselves on.  That was not pleasing for the wife.  Sadly, that pretty much doomed them for the bedroom.   At present, it looks like I have 1 bulb out of 4 that I can use in my home

Set up and testing was awesome, practical use leaves room for improvement.

 The color that was coming off of the Philips Hue bulb was just a little bit more vivid, which was surprising to me based on the Cri that Wise claims with the bold color also related to that. Uh, because Phillips Hue? I think because they use a hub. the response when you are selecting a color is much faster, so you can actually just drag your finger around the color wheel and kind of make like a light show. And the Wise app is not quite as responsive as the Philips

 and that higher Cri should help to make colors look a little bit more accurate and vivid. and we'll get into that a little bit more here a little bit later. But one other huge benefit for me because I shoot a lot of videos is that there is no flickering from the Led light. so I have two of the bulbs set up back here which I used to have Philips Hue bulbs in there which are great because you can get you know whatever colors you want, but there would always be a little bit of line flickering back here in the video and I'll cut back to some earlier videos so you can see what that looked like, but that is not an issue at all with the Wise Bulb color

Difficult to set up

 I would expect more spark bulbs and other form factors to follow this one.  Wise raise these bulbs at 90 plus Cri or color rendering index. This is already to tell you just how accurate it is at tuning to a specified color. Typically a rating of 90 plus is good. To provide a reference, I did a review of the Whiz Connected Smart Bulb, which boasts the same 90 plus Cri rating and I think the colors of those bulbs are pretty accurate

 Searching for a comparable Smart Bulb, I found the Lifx color A19 to be the closest known brand name, which is also a lot more expensive. It is a 1100 lumen color changing bulb, but the liffix can tune to a wider white color temperature and dim lower than the Wise Bulb color. It can also tune to acclaimed one trillion colors that was trillion with a T, but again, the price difference is staggering. My point is comparing this to notable Smart color changing bulbs on the market

 One thing I think is really cool that is built into the bulbs functionality is what Wise calls sleep routines: the ability to not just automate the light to turn on or off, but you can have the bulb ramp on or dim off over a set amount of time. Wise isn't the first to put this feature into a bulb again. This feature is also available on the Wiz bulb. Also, you can already automate this type of thing using Alexa, which I already do with some of my smart bulbs

 They come in at 1100 lumens and that's notable since the Wise Bulb is only 800 lumens, so these are much, much brighter. It only consumes 12.5 watts at its max if you're concerned about the power drop. But as with most if not all Smart bulbs available today, these are also not suitable for use in an enclosed fixture and I was really hoping Wise was going to come through for us here

Basically I have a few smart bulbs linked to Google home. One is in our toilet and the light switch to it and hallway leading up to is a bit difficult to navigate in the dark.

What I want to do is to automate it turning on when you get to a certain point in the hallway and turn off when going back out. Some sort of motion detector would be best, don't want any nfc tags as I imagine it would be used for wife and kids at night so won't have a phone on them and don't want to yell HEY GOOGLE through the house.

Bit of noob but have used smart products and tasker a little bit.

What sort of options do I have? What should I be looking up?

How can I set up smart bulbs to turn on/off when passing some sort of motion detector?

This is such a cool light and i love that you can control it on the wyze app. But it constantly doesn’t work and you have reset it often. One of them has been stuck on blue for weeks no matter how many times I unplug it and try to reset it I cannot get it to change. Also with both bulbs we bought neither will update the software

Meross smart bulb. Got a bayonet one off Amazon for £13 works perfectly set up with home app and when you turn it off at the switch it remembers what your previous setting was and applies that last.

I would like color controllable dimmable bulbs for bedroom mood lighting.
