Don't Count on the Timer

 I mostly used the warm colors since they're nice for relaxing. I wound down at night with orange and used the full range of cool to warm white throughout the day. If it weren't for the buzzing, I would have happily kept these bulbs.

 If you just need some coverage (I put them in the basement kids room where it doesn't really matter) then you can't beat the price for colour bulbs. These bulbs are cheap; they cost a fraction of what Phillips hue bulbs cost. They are also not very good.  Not sure what the deal is here.  On a positive note it seems like pretty much anyone can do colors and scenes better than the main Phillips hue bulbs, these ones included. The colors are pretty bright, and pretty good (I'm not doing testing or anything, if you're that kind of person why are you looking at a $5 light bulb?). I like the scenes the app has but of course in day to day operation I only used alexa voice commands and the colours she supports

  Again, if you're going to buy these you must realize that they are a cheap bulb which is why even after all the problems I give it an average score. Not good, but worth the price.

These bulbs have plenty of problems but being overpriced Phillips hue bulbs is not one of them.

 I couldn't really tell a difference between these and the Treatlife as they both were bright and had tunable whites.  The Sylvania bulbs showed their oomph once I started testing colors. The colors were brighter and more vibrant than the Treatlife bulbs. The difference was really noticeable so if you're looking for bulbs that are pretty bright when displaying colors then I would go with these bulbs

 There aren't even any integrations or add ons available for these bulbs in those platforms. So if you're trying to get everything into one app unfortunately these bulbs will not allow you to do that unless you use the Alexa app or the Google home app. Any other 3rd party app integration is non existent. That could change in the future but at the moment you're out of luck

 Initially it started when displaying blue or white. Yellow, red and green displayed fine but over time the problem got worst and worst. The bulb flickered and flashed anytime it was on no matter the color. I ended up putting that bulb in a rarely used lamp just to keep it out of the way

I've got a bank of recessed lighting, six in total, in my kitchen that was rarely used for their intended purpose because it was more glaring than it was pleasant, leaving the impression I was carrying out a surgical procedure on the island instead of preparing a meal. Inevitably, other people in the house don't necessarily feel the same way the cook does about these lights, and they turn them on, many times while I am cooking, and then leave them on. I've been so tempted over the years to just disconnect the switch in the interest of preserving the peace.  These Sylvania light bulbs have changed this situation dramatically

  One other suggestion I have is to check the specifications on your WiFi router to be sure you're not going to over-burden it with more devices than it can practically handle before you buy. If you have too many devices for the router, set up and general day-to-day operation may not go as smoothly as you'd like, and it may also impact the quality of service for all devices connected to it.  The reason I gave these bulbs 4 stars instead of 5 is that the range of colors programmable with the app is wide, but I still can't get the color I'd like to have which is somewhere around a pinkish daylight. There is definitely pink on these, but no blending ability, so the pink is a party pink with no possibility of blending it with white

Great value for home automation

These are fairly dim bulbs by 60w equivalent standards. Setting them up is a pain in rear end. The standard setup never works and you have to go through that (which takes about 3-4 mins) before it will give you the other way. The alternate method requires you to turn bulb on and off in certain sequence which depending on the fixture you are installing them in can be troublesome
