Philips Smart Wi-Fi LED Light Bulb Review and Opinion

I really like this LED light bulb because of the quality that Philips makes and with all of its functions.

Update - 2/1/22 The lights keep disconnecting from the wifi. I think it has something to do with the wifi and sometime the siri commands dont work when you try to change the personalized scenes. Will not stay connected

I’ll pay the extra for a hue bulb. Half the time the bulbs will not be connected to the WiFi. So I have to turn the lamps on and off manually - sort of defeats the purpose. I’ve never had issues with any of the hue bulbs. I only bought these as they are so much cheaper, now I know why.

Great except service sucks badly.

My biggest issue is customer service. I’ve had one bulb that is acting up and the support it terrible. I talk in loops with them for weeks sometimes. It’s the BIGGEST downside. I’ve used Wiz bulbs for a while and love them but this really is making me reconsider.

Connection issues - No point in having a dumb smart bulb

Worked fine for me for a couple of months but had to get a new modem and the lights refuse to connect. Apparently if you switch routers after pairing your bulbs and you have an android, it just doesn't work when you go to re-pair. $200+ worth of bulbs essentially bricked and customer support is next...

Terrible with connection

The bulbs themselves are great. They, however, do NOT connect to my wifi network no matter what I do. Neither smart nor manual pairing work. They also flicker quite often. Cync by GE’s lightbulbs are far easier to set up and are way better at what they do. Don’t buy these.

I have bought 5 of these over a year and only two is still working. They great while working but should last for yesrs. Cost way more than others . I would recommend another brand
