Recommend My Band a PA System

Mackie proFX 16v3 mixer ($530), 2 QSC K12.2 speakers($1k ea), 2 QSC K10.2($900ea). Been using this system regularly for a couple of years. You won’t regret it. Look toward adding 1 QSC KS112 sub ($1200)

On a friend's recommendation I purchased a qsc k12.2. I can't hear it at all. I wear in ear monitors as well. But the monitor doesn't seem to provide much of any enhancement to my sound.

QSC K12.2 & the most OSC Sub you can still fit in your budget. The EV’s are really good for their price point & would serve you well but the QSC’s are def a noticeable improvement on sound quality.

Right now, the QSC K12.2's are in the lead; it's a speaker some are already familiar with, and our staff enjoys them. However, we've also heard good things about the Turbosound flashlines, and of course JBL and Yamaha are in the mix too. Budget of about $500-800 per wedge, so that bounces out some of the higher end brands and models. QSC seems to be the best bang for the buck.

Looking for recommendations on good powered speakers for live shows

QSC K12.2 with a sub (or 10.2 with a sub). For the mixer I dunno that Yamaha is a bit of a "work horse" but I can see the limitations... If I had the cash I would go to a TF series... or Allen and Heath SQ (I don't love the interface, but its a powerful console) I know a lot of people use Beringers... I hate them, I've never had one last more than a couple years - but maybe they've gotten better...
