TWSBI Swipe

The writing experience is just so fun with it. It flexes with basically no pressure so it's really easy to add a little bit of flair as you write. I don't reach for it when I need to scrawl down a couple of notes, it's a bit overkill for that, but it's perfect for when I need to think about what I'm writing. I got my TWSBI swipe off of r/penswap.

Kakuno and Metropolitan are excellent intro pens, and the TWSBI Swipe is the best beginner pen in my opinion. They can all be had for sub-$30 and come with reliable-to-exceptional nibs (to this day, the best stock medium nib I’ve ever felt was on a Pilot metro).

I have the Autumn Forest in my TWSBI Swipe. It’s a stub nib and so far I haven’t experienced any clogging issues and the flow is good. The pink shimmer really is a game changer!

If you want to start inexpensively you could go for the TWSBI Swipe. About $26 and comes with converters and a cartridge. They can take standard cartridges as well as their own and their cartridges hold a lot of ink. These pens are also snap style caps (like the Studio's) which makes them more attractive if you cap/uncap a lot.

Currently a Lamy Studio Black Forest (I am one of the lucky few it seems that doesn’t have a problem with the metal grip) and a TWSBI Swipe which I am loving.

I bought five inks from them a couple weeks ago, and currently have inked the Voltic Arc in a TWSBI Swipe and Tesla Coil is in the Pilot Justus 95. I really like the Tesla Coil.

- TWSBI Swipe, maybe. I was already ready to buy a Go 1.1mm stub for my shimmery Diamine Blue Peppermint so this is a similar price point with more flexibility / where I could use a refilled cartridge. - Pilot VP, though I'm on the fence.

Second the TWSBI Eco, it was my gateway pen! You could also try a TWSBI Swipe if you think she might like cartridges someday.

Along with the TWSBI Eco I also recommend the TWSBI Swipe, the converter is bigger than the standard (so enough ink) and it's a very light pen, maybe that can also help with the longer writing sessions

I have a TWSBI SWIPE M that had a bit of baby's bottom out of the box. Not wanting to send it back I just smoothed it out myself as it's an inexpensive pen. It's now somewhere between my Visconti Homo Sapiens Medium and my Sailor 1911L Music.
