Pilot Custom 823 vs TWSBI Swipe

I also have the Custom 74 which is also a fantastic pen in its own right. I have developed a lot of respect for Pilot and realize that their pens are every bit as good as many of the pricier brands. This is my opinion but after reading many many reviews, other seem to agree. The quality of construction is superb

The fine nib pen unlike the medium nib ink pen had ink flow problems. The construction of the pen is good based on its price. The Goulet people provide fast a courtesy service and fast shipment.

I Think a lot of people consider it to be a workhorse pen. We've even seen celebrities like Neil Gaiman are fans of using this pen on a regular basis ...

Hmm, for beginners looking to minimize the fountain pen lottery, I’d look at Pilot and TWSBI. Kakuno and Metropolitan are excellent intro pens, and the TWSBI Swipe is the best beginner pen in my opinion. They can all be had for sub-$30 and come with reliable-to-exceptional nibs (to this day, the best stock medium nib I’ve ever felt was on a Pilot metro).

And here in the U.s. kind of. the going retail price for these is two hundred and eighty-eight dollars now

I think it is one of the better values available I have come across. There is no risk with this purchase..
