 It's fairly large It's not as large as a mac or some windows laptops, but it's fairly large enough as I can see I can see the Tuxedo key here with the penguin nice to have and this should be also an illuminated keyboard So the system already boots up and we need to install it, but i'm not going to do it in this video here We have kubuntu 2004 So when you buy tuxedos laptops, you have the choice of installing several distributions I believe you have kubuntu you have ubuntu you have mangero You have also opensuza and of course you have also tuxedo os as a possibility.  Hey everyone, this is Nick, and this is the laptop with the biggest battery life from all the Linux devices that I ever reviewed. It can even give some newer Macs a run for their money. It's the Tuxedo Pulse 15, and it's basically the bigger cousin of laptops I already reviewed, like the KDE Slimbook or the Slimbook Pro X14. So, let's take a look at what it can do, apart from lasting a long time

 is good, although I would have liked an extra USB-C port, just for future proofing, and the build quality is great. It really is just let down by the touchpad. It's precise enough and smooth enough, but it doesn't feel weighty enough, and it rattles a bit, although this might just have been an issue with my review unit. What you'll really want this laptop for though, is the battery life

 So, you can learn more about Tuxcare's Python Extended Lifecycle support by clicking on the link in the description below. Okay, since this is the main title of the video, let's begin with battery life. This device is 15 inch and has room to spare inside, which it filled with a 91 watt-hour battery. It also uses a low TDP Ryzen 7 5700U with 8 cores and 16 threads, and it powers a 1440p screen which goes up to 165 hertz

 And with all of that, this laptop manages to have stellar battery life. Tuxedo rates it for 18 hours on idle at minimum screen brightness, but in more real-life scenarios, it's still pretty damn impressive. Playing YouTube videos in a loop on the default performance mode at 50% brightness over Wi-Fi, and the display running at 165 hertz, it lasted for 10 hours. While reducing the refresh rate to 40 hertz instead, it managed to last for 12 and a half hours in total

14h OF BATTERY LIFE in real life use! Tuxedo Pulse 15 (2022) Review

Tuxedo Pulse 15 - all metal so good for travel, very very light and although it is 15", it is smaller than most 14" laptops I have seen. Has USB-C charging, also good if you are on the move a lot - 1 charger for your mobile and laptop.

My six year old Dell died on me yesterday and now I've been looking for options on what to buy. 
I had the chance of using a Lenovo yoga and I really loved how smooth the keyboard feels (but I'm not too crazy about the touchscreen).

I plan on running either Pop Os! or Ubuntu. Would also prefer if the laptop is lightweight enough to carry it around and not have it break my back, also I create a lot of writing documents and download way too many movies/tv shows.
I won't do any gaming or use suuuper heavy programs.

What laptop brand do you use and why? Also what model and distro? 

(btw sorry for any grammatical errors, english is not my 1st language).

I'll let you choose my next laptop because making these kind of decisions turn my brain into mashed potatoes

 Anyway the notebook is here inside this plastic bag but we'll come back to that I'll save the best for last. The AC adapter is fairly generic. This is the section that plugs into the wall right here. And here's the power brick it uses a barrel connector to plug into the computer and it's not oversized or anything like that so it's not going to take up a lot of room in your bag which is pretty cool

 After that it gave me an opportunity to connect to my Wi-Fi network which I did. But for generic use I actually had this machine last the entire day and even now I don't have it plugged in. I haven't plugged it in since yesterday morning. And if I look at the battery life here it claims that I have about two hours or so remaining which is pretty good because again I haven't charged it since yesterday morning

 This is the section that plugs into the wall right here. And here's the power brick it uses a barrel connector to plug into the computer and it's not oversized or anything like that so it's not going to take up a lot of room in your bag which is pretty cool. Inside this bag which was quality checked by Tux himself we have some documentation although I'm not able to read it personally but that's okay because us ADD people don't read instructions anyway. Also inside this box is a physical version of a text editor which is pretty cool as well as a lanyard a pen and also inside the box is a flash drive you can use to reload the notebook if you ever need to restore it in the future

 I haven't plugged it in since yesterday morning. And if I look at the battery life here it claims that I have about two hours or so remaining which is pretty good because again I haven't charged it since yesterday morning. And another thing is that the control center here actually supports dark mode as well. And you know what I'm going to leave it on that because that looks pretty cool
