77A80j for this viewing distance is perfect. Have same distance and cant imagine tv bigger than 77.

Unfortunately, like all OLED TVs, there's a noticeable stutter in slow-panning shots when watching movies. It's caused by the TV's nearly instantaneous response time, so each frame is held static on-screen. There are a few features that can reduce this issue, though, and overall, this is an amazing TV

Amazon or Costco delivery?

It did make me feel better that if anything happened during setup it was on them. Having 7 years warranty (with Citi card) on such a big ticket item was the winner for me.

I paid for this television. Here's what I know

Google's Apple TV app that is installed in this TV will not verify. Verification always fails. Consistent problem. Can't watch Apple TV+ on this television without an external streaming device connected.

Coming from other televisions the menu is confusing, as is the remote. Previous channel = Jump....

The A80J is simply stunning…

Yeah it's stunning. Just received my Sony 77A80J and am very happy with it. Such an improvement over the LG 65C9.

Pro tip if you want your subs to look nice in Disney+, change the look in your Google TV settings under System/Accessibility.

Brand new XR77A80J 4 blinking red light question...more of a rant lol

Unfortunately stuff like this can happen with any brand and I wouldn’t let it dissuade you from trying another 77A80J. It’s a fantastic TV(probably the best overall value of 2021) you just happen to have gotten a dud.

Sony A80J 77” buying timing advise

I recently got a 77A80J and it's perfect! It's a much better value than the A90J, and you can buy the backlit remote on eBay. A80K is almost exactly the same.
