Excellent TV for the price, heads above the typical 4K TV's from many lower priced brands.
I did indicate in the headline that this is an excellent TV. Although, the price is higher than you'll play for many 65" 4K TV's, which can go as low as 700 dollars. There are a number of special technologies in this Sony Model which sets it apart. That said, Sony actually details this as one of thr...

The 5 Best 120Hz TVs - Spring 2022
The Sony X90J is the best mid-range 4k LED TV with a 120Hz refresh rate that we've tested. It's an impressive TV with fantastic contrast, a great response time, and excellent SDR peak brightness. It has a great local dimming feature, making it a great choice for dark-room viewing, and it delivers an impressive HDR movie-watching experience

Great Tv Needs a lot of tweaking
I see plenty of 3 star or 2 star reviews saying ohh it’s a great tv but not for gaming. Let me try and explain, This tv comes standard without auto HDR and a bunch of very important things. First you NEED to plug a ps5 or series x into the hdmi 3 and 4 slots. They are the only 2.1 slots that can sup...

Size (75") versus Quality (65")
Sony x90j is only $1849 through Best Buy right now in a 75 and it’s a fantastic tv. It has Full array local dimming and it’s black levels aren’t bad. It’s a good choice.

* 4K might come in handy for Netflix or Amazon Prime streams, but that's a pretty occasional use case. * I don't game much, but would like to get something with HDMI 2.1 for future proofing (although it's not a must have). Right now I'm leaning towards the Sony X90J, because it seems like Sony has the best upscaling tech, and I do want one that has very good picture quality, but I'm open to recommendations.

Sony BRAVIA XR X90J or X95J LED 4K Smart TV - or Neither?
The simple stand is just fine, and the build quality of the tv is also something that most people don't care about.

Can someone explain the hate with Samsung products
I would still take the Sony X90j over the Q80A because the Sony has 4k at 120hz where Samsung doesn't get that until the Q70A+ at 55"+. Not only better motion but better local dimming and wider color gamut. Samsung was stupid to switch over to IPS panels after literally the Q80T was a VA panel and then make only two models VA panels this year.
