Excellent beginner camera for landscape and portrait artists! HIGHLY recommmend.
I have nothing but good things to say about this camera. I have owned my Sony A6000 for just over a year now and it has been nothing short of perfect. I am a beginner photographer and it has taken high-quality, professional photos. The basic lens is limited in terms of the scope of photography but i...
Sony Alpha 6000 (ILCE-6000) review: Sony Alpha 6000 mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera almost has it all
Editors' note, July 2, 2014: After evaluating subsequent products in this class, I've retroactively granted the Alpha 6000 an Editors' Choice for consumer mirrorless interchangeable-lens cameras, replacing the older Alpha NEX-6. While it's not perfect, it's the best all-around option in its class.
[Capture Card][Webcam] USB 2.0 capture card 1080p/30FPS $13
Recently bought one of these so I can use my A6000 as a web cam. It works quite well, and the picture quality is quite good. You might notice some compression artifacts if you're capturing a desktop, but for a camera it works well.
Sony a6000 battery drain mystery solved!!!
I love this camera. I got it on January 09, 2015. I immediately noticed how fast it drained the battery. It was even draining the battery overnight with the camera turned off, so I ordered 2 additional batteries and a charger. And I got in the habit of taking out the battery when I wasn't using the ...
EOS R owners with L-brackets: Any recommendation?
It's a **lot** more expensive (US$165), but it's worth it in my view, if you carry the camera a lot. I've used RRS L-plates on my 20D, 5D, 5DII, 6D, a6000, and now R6. Never had a problem with them, never had one come loose.
Sony A6000 Hands-On Field Test
So, no matter what alpha 6000, you are not gon na be disappointed with autofocus very fast, alright, guys movie mode on the Alpha 6000. Again, Sony is a known quantity. They make a good reliable package and good codecs full manual control
I honestly don't see many arguments against this system, except for the hassle and expense of exchanging the lenses. As for Sony crop, they are almost none-existing on the second hand market, except for the A6000. The price of a brand new a6600 is the same as a used a7III, so a brand new a6400 would be the only attractive choice, as it costs the same as the used 5D mk III and X-T3 mentioned above.
Over the moon with this little photography monster.
Bought this camera about a year ago as a gateway into photography. I was hesitant at first because I know how expensive good cameras can be and this one was at the lower end of the price spectrum, but, after seeing what it can do, I'm so extremely happy with this purchase. At 24 megapixels this thin...
Camera Error. Turn power off then on...
Nice while it worked, but now its worthless with the infuriating message "Camera Error. Turn power off then on." Yep, I tried that and about 100 other suggestions from the thousands of other a6000 owners who experienced the same thing. Still the same unfixable error message. And Sony wants hundreds ...
