I have a Ray in my small guest bedroom/"media room" of sorts, and I already think it puts out a lot of clean bass (I never seemed to notice the bass port buffeting issue everyone else did, I think a firmware update reduced or removed this anyway), but if this frees up the Ray's woofers for putting out mids and highs and delivers even clearer bass then I might pull the trigger on one of these guys.

Anyone here use a soundbar for their PC speakers (along with an OLED TV as monitor)?

The Sonos Ray is forward-firing and the gap under the C2 leaves most of the soundbar exposed. It's a bit muffled, but it works fine. I was using the TV speakers before (again due to desk space issues) and the AI Sound Pro actually works pretty well in some respects. The mid-ranges are good, spatial audio works pretty well, and the high-ranges are fine at a low volume (higher volumes can get a bit harsh).

I see this sound bar highly rated everywhere by people. it's always at the top. but "professional" Reviewers like rtings crap on it. why the big divide?

However their reviewing location is optimized, which most homes are not. So combining the brand Bose with their legacy, not sound-optimized homes and different perceptions the TV Speaker might be a solid performer which might not sound good in ideal conditions but good enough in most homes as a single soundbar at the obtainable price. Same thing applies to the Sonos Ray. It’s review isn’t much better and it’s still going to be really popular.

Too many options - which soundbar should I get?

However, there won't be any model that will accept more than 2 devices plugged in, most devices won't even let you plug in any as many entry-level soundbars don't have HDMI passthrough. A good option could be the Sonos Ray ($279 USD). It's a 3.1 soundbar to which you can add wireless rear speakers (Sonos One SL) and a wireless sub (Sonos Sub) later on.

TV audio through Symfonisk speakers via new Ray soundbar?

Ok well, for anyone who's interested, I bought a Ray today and... so far so good!. I paired it together with my 2 Symfonisk speakers in "surround" configuration and the TV audio is coming through all 3 just fine by following the in-app setup.
