Sigma 35mm F1.4 DG HSM

Between the Sigma and Sony I'd lean more towards the Sony. The Sigma may be touted as a compact super telephoto lens, but ultimately it's still a really big and heavy piece of glass. I wouldn't suggest getting this unless you absolutely need the extra 50mm over 350mm and have the tripod + backpack space necessary to carry this lens around and use it. Another thing a lot of camera guys tend to not mention is size and weight.

I’ve had photography as a hobby for about 8 years and do mostly portrait work and some landscape. My kid recently got into skateboarding and in trying to capture the moment at an indoor skatepark, realized my kit wasn’t cutting it. I needed more light, one way or another. I currently have a 50mm f/1.8G, 85mm f/1.8G, and a couple of vintage lenses, just looking for a good wider lens to bring to events when I'm shooting them. The 18-35 sigma seems really appealing and in the right price range for my budget for a brand new one too!
