I use a Scarlett 2i2 and a Sennheiser HD 558 as my practice monitor; the current HD 559 is indistinguishable. I would say the 50ohm Senns are about the limit of what the Scarletts can drive properly - I play sax so I need them fairly loud, and they are only just loud enough for me cranked to 100%. But 'barely works' is still 'works', so I'm content.
