Very happy with the Sony x900h! More in the comments
I bought this 55 inch x900h for around 800 usd where I live, it was the best option by far as the other options sucked hard (ehm Samsung Q70t edge lit) I really wanted FALD and decent HDR brightness which is does have (I installed the x90j firmware on this and hdr brightness has definitely improved), what I really like about this TV is the great black levels for an LED tv, because of FALD, Like it’s obviously not OLED levels but in light viewing conditions I doubt people would notice the difference, blooming is present on the black bars when viewing HDR movies but that’s not really a big deal as you mostly fix your eyes on the actual content, Colors at the start were very muted imo so I tweaked them to my taste and they natural yet vibrant ( btw don’t ever use Vivid mode unless you’re straight up crazy) I mentioned that I installed the x90j firmware, it did noticeably improve hdr peak brightness but mostly real scene brightness, I max out contrast , gamma to +1 and live color on medium for some color pop, I also used warm color tone with some adjustments so it doesn’t look to much like sepia, as for sound quality, I wouldn’t go to deep into it, it’s a Tv speaker, it’s decent, not too much bass, but it’s neutral which I like, it gets decently loud if you want it to and has adjustments to make speech more clear if you’re looking for that, overall I say this is excellent value for money especially since it’s gotten very cheap compared to launch, feel free to ask anything :).
