So overall the sound is great, crisp, full, snappy and fast, not too warm but not too bright. I put 2" absorption panels on the side walls at the first reflections and It helped a little. I was going to put 2" absorption/diffusion panels behind the speakers and one more set of 2" panels on the side walls.

What country are you in? I'm guessing not the USA based on those choices.

In the US: Fluance RT82. In the UK: Pro-Ject Debut Carbon DC or Teac TN-3B. In Europe: Pro-Ject Debut III and then buy an upgrade to the OM Stylus 10 or 20.

Is Pro-Ject Debut III worth buying in 2022?

The Debut III is superior (on paper at least) to all of Pro-Ject's current entry level product line below the Carbon models, so yes, it's worth buying. It's better than the E1, Primary E, and T1 lines.
