Overall, I love the damn thing, as I have the Patagonia Mini MLC black hole 26L, and 25L backpack so this fits right in!. I can understand the love/hate relationship of toploaders, myself included, but I think this one does it well . I love making videos, and wanted to share my thoughts/review on this bag.

Background:

I travel professionally and spend an average of 200 nights a year on the road. My trips are 17 days at a time so finding a luggage system that works is always challenging especially since I can go from arctic temperatures to the tropics on the same trip.

This thing worked great! I didn't even need everything I packed - I just wanted to see if I could bring it all. If you're looking for a one bag option for a long weekend/short getaway, this is an awesome option if you don't mind the shiny exterior and larger-than-life branding.

I traveled across the country to see family this past weekend (4 nights 5 days). This was my first time using the Patagonia mini MLC - I won't ever take this on an airplane again. I love the bag and how it organized all of my gear but it was horribly uncomfortable, and I only had it on while walking through the airports, can't imagine being lost and looking for a hostel with this bag on. I'm thinking it would be much more comfortable with a hip belt.

I love my new bag, the one major difference with a real black hole is how easy it is to find something in it. It is even bigger on the inside than I thought it would be and yet, it is still a pretty small bag. It's perfect for two three nights, I'm not a very efficient packer so you might be able to...

It looked more like it was a part of my back rather than a classical "backpack"-look. The Black Hole material is fantastic. It looks really nice and is extremely durable. Luckily I haven't been in a position where it would be able to rip, but from what I've heard the material is incredibly durable.
