If I'm carrying more stuff, I use an osprey farpoint 40, which is 40 L. Great frame, great hip belt, great back ventilation. It's a full clamshell zip, great for easy repacking.

The Osprey Farpoint 40 is my knee-jerk advice. It works, it has good load transfer features, comes in couple torso sizes, readily available and reasonable cost.
