Optoma HD142X

It's an awesome projector and I definitely give it two thumbs up.

If you get up into the $500 (US) range you can begin to buy a quality product from Optoma, BenQ, Epson, etc... I've owned an Optoma HD142X for about 4 years now and haven't had any issues with it.

I bought the projector in 2017 and I was using a wall as a projector surface, now I'm moving to a new place where I can install a projector screen. I have height constraint for the screen, that can't be higher than 175cm. Width will be 310cm. This size works with my Optoma projector, but sooner or later I will need to replace it either because it will break or because I'll want to upgrade to a 4k projector.

I bought the HD142X and was very happy with the colors, brightness, lag, and everything else a person could care about in a projector. You can't beat the price point either. I'm only rating 3 stars, though, because as I've read about it, I've found out the HD142X has a notoriously slow color wheel. ...

A good example I found is the optoma hd142x which you can find great deals however this isnt short throw. Im experimenting since I want to go from tv to higher screen size. Here's the thing... I like how 3d looks on my tv better than when you go to the movie theater...I feel the "LED tv" has more brightness and vibrant colors, while in the movie theaters its more dim(like if you put on the movie effect setting on your tv).

Optoma HD142X. Used Epson Powerlite 2045 ($250): thought it's a pretty good deal, under 4000 lamp hours, but the 2200 lumens concerns me.

Although only a few days into ownership. This product has be good. I bought it on Black Friday for $540.00 and think it is a amazing projector for the price. Not sure I would be willing to pay $1000 for it as retail price but I don't think anyone will pay that online for this product. Looking not to...

I have an optoma hd142x and the picture is great. It's great having a huge screen and you can put the screen up when you're not using it.
