This review was produced following 17 days with the Nova 3 Color review sample provided by Onyx International, but I don't produce paid reviews.

Overall, I think that the Nova 3 color has an excellent battery life provided that you don't go to bananas with the front light intensity.

When looking at e-ink reader releases like Dasung 253, Inkpad, HiSense A5 Pro CC Color, Onyx Boox Nova 3 Color, Hisense A7 CC Color and so on, they're being released with glossy screens which for me doesn't make sense as it deviates from the reading experience e-ink readers feature when compared to LCD ones. If their going to have glossy screens at direct light I see no real purpose on getting one, as LCD tablets are cheaper and give the same experience.

I am using the onyx boox Nova 3 color, since I really need the pictures in Anki to study. It works reasonably well (you need to set it to a higher refresh rate in order to go crazy from the ghosting). All the different onyx boox devices are based on Android, so you can activate the play store and install any desired apps, such as the kindle app or any other e-reader app (e.g.

It really isn't bad but I can't help but feel that it does an inadequate job for reading literature and manga on it due to the display not being as sharp as I'd like. I also find the device to be a \*little\* slow but still manageable. My use cases would primarily be for reading novels and manga, and possibly some note taking and web browsing for work. I'm open to a device that is 8 inches or larger, and ideally has a nicer screen.

I'm using Onyx Boox Nova 3. Its size is better for portable use I think.

The built in reader is great though. The Nova 3 Color has a noticeably darker screen due to the color layer, and has no warm backlight cause I don't know.
