Anandtech: "Intel's Chief Revenue Officer: We have Silicon, but Shortages in Wi-Fi, Substrates, Panels"
Puts into perspective about SoCs being more cost & time efficient than having separate dedicate chips like a discreet graphics that could end up being stock out. I look forward to the day that AMD & Intel following Apple's lead in designing SoCs having the best iGPU ever even when the performance only beats out a GeForce GTX 1050 Ti and Radeon RX 560 from 2017.
A family member of mine helped me move to PC gaming and set me up with a basic PC (I gave him money for most of it) and I have 8gb of RAM and a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti currently, with a 1080 monitor. It can run most older games pretty decently, but struggles a lot with Horizon Zero Dawn (lots of stuttering at lowest settings) and outright heaves with Resident Evil Village (I can’t play at 10 fps, apparently) and Halo Infinite is more or less the same in campaign. A quick google search told me that I can get a GeForce RTX 3060 for 1000 AUD. I don’t know if that’s a good price or not, but how much of an upgrade would that be?

Help a noob dad become a cool dad.
The 1050 tis are going for $100 and some change; you could get a Radeon 570 off eBay that's a little better but that's a desperate mining card so not common and it's around $150. Oh the motherboard, yeah I bought a brand new one, never opened, looks like hi70m ds3h. Gigabyte. Prob bought for around $100+.

Cyberpunk2077 in RayTracing Ultra thanks to the rtx3090 on an Ultra Wide-screen G9. What else? :) Love this screen!!!
* GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Max-Q. * RAM: 16GB DDR4/2,666MHz. Looking at getting an external eGPU and have my eyes on the Blackbeast pro when it becomes available, I know these systems can be problematic but the blackbeast is supposed to come rated for the higher throughput of data that has been the bottleneck so hopeful.

Is the GTX 1050 Ti ANY Good in 2021?
So it's not surprising that it's not really cutting the mustard and once again taking a look at the steam hardware survey in the past month, or so we see a sharp drop-off in people using 1050 ti's and that's likely due to the fact that it can't really Cut it on modern, aaa games now, like i just mentioned before, if you're gon na play older titles, it's perfectly fine.

For graphics, your system has an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. Is it worth just upgrading this pc more or should I just go for a new one?. The games I play are diablo2reserrected, valorant, path of exile and Stellaris but I would like to get Elden ring. The PCGameBenchmark gave my computer a 47% rating.
